We only use Unleaded on our 2 cars (non-E10) if possible. Kapag ako naman nagpapa-gas minsan yung 95 octane ang pinapakarga ko. Wala lang hehe, makaiwas lang sa E10.

I used shell unleaded before but I switched to shell premium for my 2E about a week ago.![]()
Hmmm ... as of now, nothing.
I gassed up Shell Premium yesterday. 10L.
I`ll observe. 2x pa lang ako nakakapagPremium.
Another quesion I thought of, if V-power is E10 and Blaze is not (based on the sticker on the pump) why is V-Power the same price with Blaze?
Because market is deregulated. Oil companies can price their products in any way they want... As long as there is demand at that price if they (Shell) can charge higher for a 10% blend and the markets still buys it then they can get away with it...
Doc. Kapag ako ang nagpakarga, either UniOil or Seaoil as much as possible. Pag dad ko, Seaoil Q.Ave. or Jetti na malapit dito samin.
Ang alam ko lang walang E10 is Unioil. Yung 95 Octane nila walang sticker ng E10. Pati 95 Octane ng Jetti AFAIK isn't E10.
^^thanks, sir Chikselog
I see... 95 octane lang pala yung non e-10. Our SA warned about using high-octane gas on the 2 after several mazda 3s encountered problems with 95 octane fuel.
gusto ko sana makapagpakarga ng non-e10 kasi nabubulok yung ethanol!![]()
oops, now ko lang nakita to,
afaik, kahit sa motor masama yan, di lang masyadong sensitive ang mga engine ng motor lalo na yung two-stroke.
what do you mean by "mahal yan kesa sa premium"? afaik, yung mga premium gasoline that have higher octane rating (95-98) ay ang mga pinaka mahal.
afaik, here in the metro, some big 3 station specially petron, sell regular gasoline to tricycle drivers. regular means it is leaded. its not unleaded so its not compatible to modern vehicles. kahit yung mga post 90s di na din compatible. leaded gasoline has lower prices, and 87-89 octane. saw this on the news where a tricycle driver used regular(leaded) gas for his vehicle para makatipid, afaik, P38-45 yung leaded gasoline na pinapakarga niya.i think it was the P60/L of gasoline period of the market.
if i remember correctly, it was early 90's (i think i was 4-5 yrs old, nagpapakarga lolo ko sa petron, maysilo ng owner type jeep) noong nirecommend or dinemmand ng government na wag na magbenta ng leaded/regular gasoline kase its bad for the environment and health ng people. kase nga its leaded.
kaya modern gasoline now used the name "unleaded".
paki correct na lang ako kung mali po ako.
afaik... wala nang leaded gasoline sa pinas. especially in the metro.
premium, unleaded, hi-octane... lahat na unleaded.
*renzo: ethanol is hygroscopic... meaning it attracts water. so if a tank with ethanol sits for too long a period, water accumulates, and as sir aejhay had said, it'll cause corrosion, and whatnot.
the "shelf life" is 2 weeks, from what I've read here
Oh. Thanks doc.
Good thing I use my car often and it never sat on the garage for 2 weeks straight. ;)
