boss iba pa to sa kambyo sa 2H, 4H at 4L dba? ^^

Yung mga units that are tiptronic or its equivalent, determine at what speed the car goes into 4 speed for 4A/T, and 5 speed for 5A/T. Target that as your cruising speed. For example, yung local kia sportage ko, shifts to 4th gear at 60kph, while my montero shifts t 4th gear at 52kph or so.

    Share ko na lang din, my ASX upshifts sequence are;
    2nd - right before 10kph
    3rd - " " 20kph
    4th - " " 30kph
    5th - " " 40kph
    6th - " " 50kph

Once na bumaba ang speed sa "upshift point" auto down shift na sya.

this isn't really true all the time. a lot depends on the driver pa rin. may mga drivers don't know how to shift economically sa manual. ang tagal bumabad sa lower gears. so talo pa rin sila ng matic driver esp. if you know how to drive around the behaviour ng automatic transmission mo.

about shifting to N naman when on a stop, i think it is a good practice not only to save fuel and your transmission, but also to save on your brakes, especially your rotors. one of the main causes of rotor warpage is uneven heating (or cooling, as the case may be). so when you're stepping on the brakes for quite a long time with the rotors hot after several heavy braking, you create hotspots on the rotor... and leave uneven brake deposits that get baked on to the discs. your pad gets heated up too, which may lead to brake fade. syempre, di naman kaagad mag-manifest iyan in just a short time, but it will significantly shorten the working life of your discs. so better you shift to N at a stop, then use the hand brake as the rear discs or drum don't usually go that hot as with the front.

CVT ang ASX no? no wonder it has good FC!
for our Focus TDCi PS sequence using Manual mode, transmission requires the following para makapag upshift:
    1st/2nd gear * 0kph /
    3rd gear after 1800rpm
    4th gear * 40kph
    5th gear after 50kph
    6th gear after 60kph

    100kph * approximately 1850 rpm. what's yours?

kambiyo para sa setting ng 4WD yang 2H, 4H at 4L. Iba pa yung kambiyo para sa gear changes.

Yup it's possible to do it. Been doing it whenever my replacement car has tiptronic tranny

mga sir, owner here of Grand Starex A/T. first time to drive an A/T car. Our GS is equipped with tiptronic. Let's say I am driving around 40kph in D" and I need to overtake, do I need to put it on tiptronic "+"? Does it shift to 3rd gear to have enough power to overtake? I haven't tried using the tiptronic gear on our GS. Thanks!

If you need to overtake, press on the accelerator ng madiin. Automatically mag down shift sya para maka arangkada nga maayos. Using tiptronic pwede rin, and it also automatically down shift pag mabagal na ang takbo mo up to a full stop. But 1 thing noticed ko sa mga tiptronic trannies, pag nasa auto mode ang bagal ng response. You really have to floor it.

No need to floor it, just use the paddle shift(for those who have it) to down shift.
