Gas Question changing from premium to low budge unleaded

No need to drain. Baka out of spec ang timing kaya gusto ng dating may ari na high octane lang ang ilagay.

Any gas station with a timing light can bring it back to spec. It's an inexpensive job that takes less than half an hour to do.

1.3 nissan sentre f.e pero 16 valve sya... so pwede ba i unleaded nalang?

actually, with that engine, it will run the same with unleaded or premium gasoline. No performance gained if you used better gasoline.

uyyy thanks salamat..I bought the car 2 days ago..nyeta dami na problema... tas umalis na may ari..kainis.... eh ang bilin nya premium daw nilalagay nya ang mahal ng difference..thanks... :D

I have a suspicion the previous owner found the power from the 1.3L engine a bit lacking so he probably adjusted the ignition timing (advance) to get more power from it. Have the ignition timing checked and set back to factory setting before pumping in unleaded.

it should work fine with 93RON gas.

but efi cars nowadays have the ECU retard/advance the timing to compensate for lower/higer RON gasoline.
