I have been using Petron Extra (octane rating 93) in my Avanza 1.5 since I bought it October last year. The other day, since Petron's Extra (now 95 octane rating) is already the the E10, nagpakarga ako ng 500 din like Zeus. Pansin ko lang parang hirap umarangkada.

Pre, try this link also re E10's "Precautions/Tips For Use of E10 Gas".. got that link dito rin kaso i forgot yung thread name. it so happen nasave ko yung site address. anyway, 'though latest yung ride mo, better siguro XCS ka na lang, mas matipid. Try mo muna 500.00 siguro. Dati Xtra Unleaded din ako, tapos since wala na nga sya.. i shift to XCS, mas matipid pa nga ngyon.. kasi kunti apak lang arangkada agad. Lastly, around P1.00 lang ang difference..

Tinanong ko sa mga service advisers ng Ford, hindi daw pwede ang E10 sa Ford Escape at Kailangan pinakamababang octane

*redeemed: salamat bro, subukan ko talaga yan. nagtataka lang ako why petron extra was converted to e10 without much fuzz in media, wala man lang dedicated information campaign na may technical data based on their studies, basta na lang bumulaga (correct me if i'm wrong). that way, we end-users could have made more informed decisions kaysa pa-try-try lang tayo.

your welcome bro! yap, nagulat na lang din ako when i went to petron para magparefuel ng Xtra Unleaded... wala na pala. ang tagal ko nga dun.. nag-iisip kung ano ikakarga ko. e since i used XCS na rin dati dun pa sa old car namin.. plus alanganin pa ako sa E10 kung pede sa car ko.. kaya i decided XCS na nga lang talaga. thank God! di naman ako nagkamali. merong media coverage pero dati pa & di rin gano nabigyang pansin. sabi ng petron dun sa amin, utos daw ng malacañang to use biofuel.. aalisin na unti-unti ung unleaded. siguro kaya di pa nagcocomply other gas stations, di pa empty unleaded tanks nila.

btw, just let us know performance ng XCS dyan sa ride mo.

I am not an e10 convert yet. Reason why I don't gas-up at Shell anymore....(Dati, Shell ako)..... Doon na lang ako sa Caltex(5% rebate on HSBC) or Petron (3% rebate on BPI-Petron MC) in that order of preference....
