cguro pwede din magkabit 2 more fuel filters in series before the final fuel filter. parang sa innova diesel dalawa fuel filter naka series.

nakita ko yun add at ang ganda ng crdi na turbo-intercooler. Same engine ata sila ng starex?
arrrgghh..fuel injector replacement dahil sa duming diesel..?!..nakakawawalang gana naman pag crdi pala..![]()
was able to test drive the matrix crdi at manila motorshow. meron sila test drive. pati ford at iba pa. itinakbo namin sa macapagal blvd. aba tahimik makina ng crdi parang gas engine din. at malakas humatak sa midrange yung tipong tumatakbo ka ng 30-40kph pag inapakan mo accelerator matulin umarangkada. fun to drive factor. diesel torque rules!
do they have a price range on this already? can this be maintained by mitsu? alam ko yung ibang hyundai, mitsu ang engine
andy
AFAIK the newer Hyundai CRDi diesel engines aren't built on the Mitsu platforms anymore... I read before that Detroit diesel was somewhere in the development stage though.
What Doc Diesel advised before when i asked him about maintaining CRDi engines was that you could add a extra filter on the line nga.![]()
PHP678K daw presyo ng matrix crdi. siguro maglagay na lang ng 2 extra filter at wag magpakarga sa mga pipitsugin gas stations.
surprisingly maluwag for 5 passengers. kc mataas ang roofline. pero honestly sana mas mahaba ng konti kasi parang bitin yung rear compartment. though fully sliding & reclinging yung rear seats. tska parang natitigasan ako sa seats, wish its softer. the ride i found is adequate, not 'luxury soft' but rather comfortable, parang mas malambot compared to AUV rides
hhhhmmm...pede pala palagyan extra filters..extra costs though..tama na ang gas-fed samin..luwag nga mostly because of its taller stance, living up to its one liner ad: "hyundai matrix, the space that liberates.."
tsaka mura by no less than six figures vis a vis 1.6l japanese brands..![]()
An inline fuel filter for a Mercedes Benz costs around Php 150.00. I don't think that's a big investment. You just cut the fuel hose and put it in between the cut sections then clamp using those baby hose clamps.

i wish the japanese manufacturers would also start offering diesel engines on their compact cars.

hmmm...it's as simple as that? i.e. lagay lang ng secondary fuel filter e maiwasan na ung ruined injectors for CRDi's ? hmm, why didn't they install it in the first place? sorry, no idea talaga B)
my opinion is that hyundai parent company has not studied diesel fuel condition in 3rd world countries like here in our country. Usually their cars are being exported to europe (UK) which is a 1st world country where diesel fuel is clean. kaya nga mostly same specs ang car na dinadala nila dito tulad ng dinadala nila sa europe. by the way toyota is much smarter, they tend to study regional conditions when they design their new vehicles. in asia they consider dirty fuel, bad roads, floods, how many people will usually use the vehicle...etc...
badkuk,
Your main objective naman is to prevent contaminants in the diesel fuel from entering the fuel system. The stock filtering system will work but you have to change filters more often and always keep the tank topped up so that particulates will not get sucked by the fuel system.
Using a cheap inline filter is just an added insurance. And since it is relatively cheap, you can afford to replace it often.
You can also add a sedimenter (water-separator). It is also added inline but is bulkier. The Nissan TD27 has a sedimenter. I'm not sure of their other models.

hmmm, according to motioncars.com, CRDi, turbo nga ung diesel variant. pero 82bhp/4000 and 178Nm/2000 lang ang rating. di ba parang mababa considering it's a 1.5L engine?
mababa pa ba un? eto ang specs for the Crosswind 2.5L Turbo Diesel: 85 hp * 3900, 189Nm * 2000, 1680 kg curb weight.Originally Posted by badkuk
tapos 1370 kg lang ang curb weight ng getz. hehe...
kinocompare ko kasi with the 1.6L altis, which has hp = 116/6000 and torque = 160/4400. then again, max power at lower revs are better pag sa city driving, right?
