Haven't tried fuels from independents in my own car. Usually ginagawa is nagpapakuha ako ng samples then pinapadala ko sa depot for testing, kung pumapasa ba sa DOE standards. Most naman oo, may isa lang akong nasaktuhan na may methanol content before. I forgot what the name of the station was, basta independent.

Rare yun though. Ang common na paghahalo lang na ginagawa nila is they'd dye the green 91 RON fuel and turn it red, so they can pass it off as 95 RON and sell at a higher price.

Last year naman, when regular (81 RON) was phased out, yung iba would dye their green 91 RON into orange, kasi yung mga magsasaka, mangingisda, and other rural folks believe that their engines only run properly on regular 81 RON and going any higher would damage their engines. Funny myth, buti nalang it has died down over the past few months.

I go wherever there is a raffle in this case its Petron now because of their instant prize scratch card. Im not too particular about the brand of fuel that goes into my cars......as long as its from petron, shell, caltex or total. And those guys cover most of the areas i travel to anyway. I only use high octane when the car specifically requires it . The rest of the time its regular diesel or unleaded.

Have you done a full tank computation for your actual mileage in km/L?

Mahirap yung puro tantsa tantsa lang.

in my opinion, wala talagang koneksyon ang 97, 95, or 91 octane sa hatak ng sasakyan... that's why from now on, i'll just buy yung pinakamurang unleaded 91 RON fuel he he he

sa fuel consumption, I still get 13 kms/liter (may trapik na kasama). pag puro trapik, 9-10 kms/liter.. siguro yung 16kms/liter ay very possible pag long drive na walang trapik. pero di ko pa nasusubukan yun he he he

Ser jut703, me Qs ulit ako

    1. pag nag start mejo amoy yung gas, na experience ko yun sa lahat ng 4 major oil players yung parang hindi nabu-burn ng husto yung gasolina. Pero sabi sa ibang thread normal daw yon lalo na pag long idle or from overnight.
    2. since you're from petrol industry, baka lang me alam ko kung magtutuloy-tuloy yung pagtaas ng gasolina. Nasa news kasi na baka this week eh me price hike.

    TIA
