well i went back to greenfuel to have it retuned. ill post another FC soon.

OT: i have an 40L tank, when i saw the red light on my guage, i still kept driving it hoping to finish it all up until the engine dies down. i drove for another 25kms with it. i only switch back to gas when i was about to drive the expressway. And i was able to filled up 37L of lpg.
Bro what type of lpg conversion mo? Im assuming venturi, closed ba or open loop? Or sgi ba sya? Thanks for sharing your experience.

Hopefully ma fine tune na so you can get the benefit of the system.

2 weeks ago, I converted my 1996 carburator Nissan Vanette in Xoom. But up to now, it's still not usable. 2 out of 4 sparkplugs get destroyed. So Xoom suggested I bring the van back to my mechanic. My mechanic tested the van using gas, the sparkplugs don't get destroyed. But when he tested it using lpg, the 2 sparkplugs get destroyed. Why doesn't the sparkplugs get destroyed when using gas? If the sparkplugs get destroyed on both gas and lpg, at least we know that there's something wrong, and the mechanic will open it up. And why only the 2 sparkplugs?
Can you guys give some suggestions?

I think your auto-lpg kit is venturi-mixer and the intake is causing the last two cylinders to run a little lean which results in the damaged sparkplugs. A quickfix would be to run slightly richer to compensate for the last two cylinders from running lean.

Also check if the venturi-mixer itself is correctly sized for your engine. If it's too big, it might result in the lpg irregularly mixing with the incoming air.

A more long term fix is to change from the venturi-mixer kit to the SGI kit (running open loop mode) which will have an individual LPG injector fitted per cylinder. This will eliminate the lean running condition of the last two cylinders. This will be expensive and might be hard to do because of the cramp space of the vanette's engine bay.

I also hope you can also contribute to the auto-lpg discussion in general here in tsikot.com... I think currently we have a member who is having a problem with his vanette when running on auto-lpg.

Accurate ba toh? kasi when I computed for my LPG consumtion 4.5 KM/L lang... does this mean my consumtion is very high or Total gas station fill my tank half lang...
suggest you look at the actual guage...the one connected to the tank...maybe your electronic guage is not calibrated properly..or maybe nag loloko yung electronic gauge mo...

happened to me also...the electronic gauge was still full tank..but the actual gauge was already 1/4 nalang...had it checked and true enough..the electronic gaage was defective and they had to replace the ECU...

GH, you are correct in recommending to fill up with the same pump during your FC observation as pumps may behave differently (based on discussions from taxi drivers!). From your experience, do you have any recommended filling stations? It might be along my way. Haven't been to Clean Fuel though because it is out of my way but I'll try it soon.

GH, am curious, how can you install an O2 for your car. (My car is an EFI w/ no O2 sensor). I've asked around (even Ford, Honda and Toyota) and they told me it is impossible since my ECU is not capable. I have a 2001 AT Civic w/o O2 sensor as well. You know any installers and how much? I am curious if I can still improve my FC. My current FC ok but any improvement is welcomed. Thanks for your help!

I just had my car converted to LPG last Saturday at GreenFuel. I noticed that they were checking each others' work and I am very satisfied with the installation: very clean and no shortcuts. They even asked me where I wanted the filler installed since I wouldn't want to put a hole in the body of the car for the filler. I stayed in their shop the whole time my car was being installed. Even Mike and Warren were very accommodating during the time that I was there. I went to Clean Fuel at Shaw for my 1st full tank right after installation and paid P760 for 32 liters of LPG. At least I can now feel that I am not robbed whenever I go for a fill up. Will update you guys when I get my fuel consumption figures.

Thanks a lot Mike and Warren. I am the red Lovelife Corolla last weekend.

Hi sir smdelphin, It would be best if you could drop by the shop again so we could check on your Vanette. We are constantly going to work to resolve this problem with your Van.
