    myth...

Cold dry air inside the taxi cab is the same as cold dry air inside an aircon office or airplane. All results in dry throat. It's not because of LPG.

also, i've heard that should you get into a collision..the lpg may explode..(its suppose to be more flamable vs gas...since it is compressed..)

    any truth to this...
    myth ....

lpg is just as flammable as gasoline. LPG tanks are designed and built to withstand DIRECT impacts without rupture. Its made with steel many times thicker & stronger than your car's original gasoline tank. In fact you can shoot it with a standard pistol and the bullet will just bounce off.

Can your car's factory gasoline tank say the same? Fact is, the original gasoline tank can be punctured by running over a rock.

fellow LPGers, my brother saw my lpg powered revo 1.8 and he wants to convert also his car. however, he is in cabanatuan area which as far as I know do not have a refilling station yet (pls. correct me if I am wrong). Does anybody tried filling their tank with lpg from the 11KG common household tank (use in cooking)? Is this safe?

btw, are all the refilling stations the same..ie: quality of lpg same for all..no need to be picky/choosy on which station to fill up..

Back in the 70s, the original auto-lpg kits then used standard household 11kg LPG tanks.

Today, such practice is frowned upon because it is generally unsafe.

But if there is no alternative, I think it's possible to retrofit together a pump to move LPG from a 11kg household tank (or the larger tank) to the auto-lpg tank. You will have to source where you can buy the auto-lpg filler adapter and a LPG certified pump.

You can try inquiring at TOTAL since I think they have done the actual setup of some auto-lpg stations (for other auto-lpg companies in agreement that that company will purchase their LPG from TOTAL).

So far in my experience, no. But I mainly keep to a selected number of auto-lpg stations when I refill my tank.

Mike (of Greenfuel) commented that he feels some of the lesser known auto-lpg stations are selling LPG of lower quality resulting in either less power or uneven running engines. No damage though. Best to keep to the ones you have tried and tested. This is NOT confirmed but just based on observations based on the auto-lpg converted cars he has serviced/adjusted.

Note: some auto-lpg stations, although under the same name (example NAIADSS) are supplied by different LPG suppliers at their different sites.

ok it's high time to really go for LPG. however mukhang bigating tsikot lahat ang nababasa kong nagpapa-convert. tanong ko lang if someone ever had the chance here to have their old cars (like the old box types) converted. how was it? any problems converting? saan best magpa-convert? please share a word for our avid old schoolers waiting to have their little toy cars up to the hype

Steve Salonga forwarded to me a company that does single piston conversion and they use kitchen lpg - you might want to see if they can help you out to convert the auto to kitchen - I'll look for the number and forward it to the forum

Thanks also for your patience. We were not well organized today as we had new recruits that started today.

That is with the assumption na lahat ng tao pareho ang takbo ng isip with the taxi drivers. Of course if you don't know what you are doing better not try.

Pero if the customer asks for the cable you as the seller should give it to him. Aldessa RSI kits provide the software and cable with the kit.

I had to make my own ecu link cable. Its simple anyway. RS232 lang, and the software same lang as used by AC Autogas of Poland.

My CRV has no delay and jerking as experienced by others.

Just like the taxi cabs where the drivers tinker around with their auto-lpg kit's settings. There would be some who would get it right but a lot more would simply screw up the mixture.

And btw, the ecu-link cable and software is NOT normally included.

Kaka full tank ko lang yesterday sa Manila Auto Gas. Bad trip kasi nag-taas nanaman sila, 33.43/liter na. So parang weekly na rin ang pag-taas ng piso. Pero when I passed by NAIADSS Pioneer, 32.43 lang. Sayang at P47 rin yung nawala sa akin. Next time, try ko sa Petron C5 (the one across Valle Verde 1). Meron daw LPG dun, and I'm sure they accept credit cards (unlike Manila Auto Gas).

Bad trip nga ako kasi yung LiquiGaz beside our village (along Sandoval Ave Pasig), mga 1 month na hindi nagbebenta ng LPG. Sira yata pump nila?

Tapos yung SeaOil along Pasig Blvd nasira rin LPG pump nila. Regular pa naman ako sa kanila because of their VIP card, and credit card payments.

From my experience, Petron Shaw/WackWack has the lowest LPG prices. Pero tagal ko na last nagpa-load dun. Their prices then were only 29.43, when everyone else was 31+ already. Not sure ngayon, kung magkano na sa kanila.
