November 30th, 2010 05:34 PM #3582Need your help and advice. I have an Eroom system which had been running quite well for the past two years. This morning, while running on LPG, the engine just stopped and cannot be started. Immediately noticeable was that the temperature gauge shot to the maximum. When I inspected the engine, there was actually no sign of overheating. The coolant reservoir level was normal; it felt warm but not scalding hot. I even dared open the radiator cap to find out. Indeed, no overheating.
When I switched the selector to pure gasoline, the temperature went back to normal. Unfortunately, the car cannot run on gasoline anymore because it seems the tank run dry. There was a fuel leak somewhere in the engine compartment and I just didn't have the time to have it checked out, so I didn't fill-up with gasoline for some time. The Fuel needle was way, way below empty. I had the gasoline tank filled up to 1/4 but the car still wouldn't start.
Your helpful comments will be most welcome.

November 30th, 2010 06:13 PM #3585Thanks for the quick reply Master GhostHunter. I suspect the fuel pump IS a problem. Tried to create a vacuum by putting a rag on the air intake; no success. Not even a tinge/ scent of gasoline vapor on the intake manifold.
Problem really is: darn EROOM closed shop; David Do is nowhere to be found.
Could you please recommend a shop good at both lpg and gasoline systems.
By the way, the car is a 2003 Ford Lynz 1.6

XOOM is a good shop you can check out. Located somewhat near the rotonda at Timog (towards EDSA). Not sure if they can handle your gasoline system though.
SPEEDLAB has some Auto-LPG experience but they still need to refer to GREENFUEL for equipment and parts. They can definitely fix your gasoline system.

December 2nd, 2010 11:16 AM #3587Finally got my converted 1997 subaru legacy wagon yesterday. Conversion was done by Econogas Tech Araneta Avenue. So far, it runs the same way as it was before the conversion. Will have to use it more in varying conditions in order to determine if tuning is optimum. Dont know yet what the fuel consumption is but used to get 5km/l on petrol.
