sa mga nakapag palit na ng parts which is out of warranty na, pwede ba natin i compare ang prices dito? (not sure if allowed ito, pero just to give an idea how much ang expected gastos natin pag may nasira.)

Solenoid valve (Petrol) 1K (discounted from 1.5K)
kadalasan i wait for the engine temp to go normal (1/2 gauge) before switching to lpg para smooth ang takbo when lpg is use.

It doesn't matter if your car is automatic or manual.

anu pala best na LPG conversion kit?
Depends on the engine type you have (carb or efi).

    typically:
    carb - venturi kit type
    efi - sgi kit type

As for which company to do the conversion, I would suggest one that is conveniently located to you because if you need to have it serviced, the nearer the shop is to you, the better.

    To LPG'ers,

This thread is 4yrs old and still going. Just want to know if there are any major breakthroughs in the LPG systems (venturi or SGI).

    Hello BigFootoz,

Your website is down for months. Any plans reviving it?

There is still some R&D work being done for Auto-LPG for diesel engines but nothing ready for consumers.

One thing to note though. Since Auto-LPG converted cars do not use gasoline as much, your tank of gasoline will last many weeks or even months. In that case, you might want to avoid E10 gasoline because this type of gasoline tends to "expire" in three weeks (in my experience). Symptoms of expired gasoline would include rough idle and low power when running on gasoline mode.

In your opinion, would an LPG install lower or increase the resale value of your car?

How much is the cheapest EFI emulator in the market now? And where do I get it?

Depends on the buyer and what kit you installed. Getting the cheapest kit might not be the best option if you want best resale value.

You can try calling the listed installers.

Can anyone tell me if this is a good price? I called Green Fuel and they quoted a price of Php39k for an LPG kit installation on a Nissan X-Trail, plus Php3K if I opt for the toroidal tank. Installation takes about a day, provided I bring it in early in the morning.

The price is just right for the SGI-LPG kit. The toroidal tank is a good option to get if you want to keep a flat cargo area in the back.

Thanks, GH. I've been hearing good things about Green Fuel, but a lot of people also swear by Macro for being generally reliable.

What are the advantages of the split fuel system (e.g. econogas vogas split fuel system where gas is injected simulteneously with lpg) versus the SGI system? Do the advantages offset the higher cost?

I am planning on converting a 98 camry.

Some engines do not respond well with LPG. They can idle rough and have poor performance. In these cases, dual-fuel LPG+petrol injection system are recommended. It is more expensive.

A Toyota Camry takes to LPG very well. So just get the SGI system.

Is that the only kind of LPG switch available?

Are there LTO incentives for LPG users? Like lower registration for LPG equipped vehicles?

depends on the installer's kit. The links I posted are the ones used by GREENFUEL. Other installers use a different style switch but overall similar in look and function.

NAIADS older venturi kits use a switch/LED display that displays numeric percentage for the tank level.

You wish. This is the Philippines. No such thing.
