I tend to use half turns of the adjustment screw until I reach a level that I want. Then using 1/4 turns to fine tune the adjustment. Usually, once you have adjusted your LPG kit to a level you like, you won't need to re-adjust it anymore. If on a much later time, your engine is running a bit poor (and the exhaust smells strongly of LPG) just replace or clean your engine's air filter.

Is it true? may nakausap kasi akong taxi driver ng Ken-Ken.

My car's maintenance has been the same before & after it was converted to run on LPG. The only difference is the increased interval of air filter cleaning.

Yes... malakas makasira ng makina ang LPG lalo na if it was set to run too LEAN all the time.

This particular concern has already been discussed to death & resurrection somewhere in this thread. Kindly read the thread so we won't look stupid repeating already answered questions on the said topic.

    ------------

just got my car's lpg tuned by me as instructed by ghost and it is ok na! sa mga nakacarb you can do it yourself basa basa lng sa previous posts. just remember regularly clean your air filter(na hindi ko madalas gawin dati) at hwag masyado lean sa pagtono.

ang laki pala ng epekto ng lpg screw na yun sa power ng oto lalo na yun rpm pag sobrang sakal, yun tendency is kahit anung piga mo sa accelerator mo ayaw umangat gaano as in! hangang 1000 or 2000 rpm lng

about 2yrs ago, sila din nagencourage na magLPG kami. actually, sila yung reason why i posted dito sa LPG thread. they've encountered problems related to cylinder head and earlier rupturing of valve/oil seals. as ive found out, this is due to lean mix. hindi kasi maiwasan na ganun ang gusto ng driver for fuel saving purpose. matipid gas ng drivers, pero operator nagsusuffer. unang makikita dyan is maputi ang sunog ng sparkplugs siguro. then pag nagworsen, may oil fouling na. mga typical problems encountered ng overheating.

so mga steps i took was to make sure hindi lean yung mix. 2nd, made sure na maganda ang condition ng engine like it's compression. tapos yung ignition timing binalik ko sa stock at about 10degrees. so far parang gasoline na siya. ang badtrip lang sa LPG sa taxi is madalas tumirik because of electrical related problems. yung iba simpleng switch, others putok ang fuse.

aside from that, ok naman. ive personally tested how LPG runs. napansin ko ganda hatak niya on high rpms as tested with an SGI macro kit on a nissan sentra 07.

wow! haba pala thread dito. anyway, my sister is converting cars to LPG system. so far, naconvert namin ang house car namin such as toyota corolla XE, honda civic, and toyota vios.

Sa totoo lang, 30 years na itong LPG technology around the world kaya madami na sobrang brands and manufacturer.

So pinakabit namin yung vios and civic using the Taiwan system. Ang ganda ng takbo. No difference! O well, pangtest lang kasi. Ok sya kasi kahit umaandar, 1 press and magsswitch na to LPG or back to gas.

I could go on and on pero mas maganda siguro if sister ko nalang kausapin niyo. pahirapan nyo buhay niya sa mga tanong haha. Siya kasi mas technical dyan e.

Hi guys had my accord 2000 2.0 vtec converted by my team to LPG since last december. It runs smoothly lalo pagnaka LPG na don't feel any performance lag or anything. SGI system yung kinabit ko..with 60li tank. Full Tank fills-up to around 50-53 liters then consumption is at around 5-6 city driving, 6-7 long drives with A/C. LPG injectors emulate the Petrol Injectors so when switching you won't feel a thing. Also converted a Volvo 96 and a Corolla 98. BTW, for those that are interested in donut type tanks have 45li and 55li varieties that fit on the cars spare tire space.

Your Honda Accord is a fuel guzzler if your highway fuel mileage is really just 6-7 km/L.

Changed some components of the engine a long time ago before converting.. have headers and a racing filter installed. Might have some effect but don't really think it should matter much. Hows your car performing? Whats your car's tank size and what kind of system did you install?

    My car:
    1999 Toyota Corolla GLi 1.6L A/T
engine mods: cone filter, headers, 2.25in exhaust piping, low restriction aftermarket catalytic converter, custom design full stainless freeflow muffler.
    Wheels: 195/55/15

    LPG system:
NAIADSS carb type LPG kit with EFI adapter box.
    Tank size: 60L

    Fuel mileage:
    City: 5-6km/L (a/c on)
    Highway: 8-11km/L (a/c on)

So far the car performs well, overtaking is not a problem. Top speed achieved is about 165kph which is roughly the same when fueled with gasoline.

engine is a 1.6L fuel injected.
Muffler, headers, air filter, spark plugs are all stocks or stock equivalent
LPG system is an Aldessa SGI system with 60L tank provided by Green AutoGas converted Oct 2007

    Mileage:
    City: 8-10 km/L (my latest one is 9.6 km/L)
Haven't used the car extensively in the highway yet.

    Hi Shalom,

Nice to hear that Sharon is now importing a second brand. Paano yung dealership ninyo with Aldessa, is it still alive? Also, are the taiwanese kits cheaper than the turkish ones? Nakalipat na ba kayo sa Quezon City?

From what I know, any wiring that needs to be by-passed would have a socketed connector to the LPG system so if you decide to remove the LPG system, it would be very clean.

Maybe you can have your car checked to see where those cut wires supposed to be connected to.

You might want to check with your tita on the monthly or weekly distance driven by the car. Why? Its just to see if its worthwhile for her to have the car converted.

As for the choice of LPG kit, I hope your tita knows the price difference between the SGI & carb type kits. It might come to a shock to her if she finds out that the SGI kits typically costs P50K for her car.
