I think its safe to guess that the split-system is superior among all the SGI kits available locally. And so its price. Maybe 50% higher than the typical SGI kit.

If I recall correctly, the only difference from the split-system is the ECU, the rest are SGI gear.

As for the vulnerabilities of the SGI, like clogged injector due to oil contamination, maybe I'll ask them again.

I'm inclined to have this mounted on my car, even if I have to pay extra. The thing stopping me is my employer's gas allowance which only allows me to pump up with Caltex. At wala auto-LPG ang Caltex

As long as you're a frequent traveller, you'll be able to recover your investment and won't mind the expensive price tag.

    Paging Bigfootoz, interested client.

Regarding the venturi kit, do you really lose 1km/l once you convert to LPG? Like from 6km/l on petrol to 5km/l on LPG? Can it be possibly tuned to maintain its old efficiency?

What size of tank is good for a 2.2 car?

Where is the best place to put the filler nozzle? in the fuel tank lid or below the trunk? any pros and cons?

Also, do all LPG gas stations accept credit cards to fuel up?

It is possible but performance will be affected if you try to maintain the fuel mileage. This is due to the lower energy density of LPG as compared to gasoline.

Tuning your system to get the same fuel mileage will result in a leaner burning engine which will result in lower HP output.

And lean burn has it's own problems as mentioned within this thread. Basically, its not good.

typically 60L would be fine. You could also try to find the biggest tank that would fit in your trunk. Going too big has it's own problems like too much extra weight will result in poor fuel mileage.

It depends in your car. I have mine beside the gasoline filler because I have enough space for it. Other cars have it under the bumper.

At the filler, requires drilling/cutting of metal. But it's hidden and generally protected from dirt and potential damage.

Under the bumper, no need to cut metal but filler exposed to elements and potential dirt intrusion or physical damage if it gets hit by something hard like a rock or concrete parking block.

Also, do all LPG gas stations accept credit cards to fuel up?
nope. Depends on the station. You might have to scout your nearby Auto-LPG stations to find out which accepts credit cards for Auto-LPG.

I get between 6.5-7.5 kms/liter Manila driving (QC to Makati and around QC). Have you decided which kit to install?

In my experience, Petron and SeaOil accepts credit cards for all fuel purchases (auto-LPG included). I have not tried Total, but I won't be surprised if they also accept credit card.

Petron also accepts my fleet card for my auto-LPG fill ups.

I heard over the AM radio news that Auto LPG will increase pump price by Nov. 1. so better have your tank filled.

I also filled my Gasoline tank full yesterday. It seems some stations are running out of supply. Both tanks would be sufficient for me to run for 2 weeks.

In any case, the stand off between Oil Company and President's EO will surely hit us in the coming days, now that the world price is $80.

Yup, Auto-LPG price is expected to go up around P2/L with the increases.

I was thinking of filling up my gasoline tank as well but as I thought about it, it would end up costing me more than the increase in LPG prices so I didn't.

The claimed 10km/L is possible IF you are driving on the expressway or roads without traffic.

I converted my VX200 automatic to LPG last July, went with the old NAIDDS venturi type conversion and so far i am consuming 5 liter/km with LPG city driving. So far encountered no problem with the LPG.

Placed my tank at the back removing 1 of the foldable seats. My wife only complains of the unusual "bottle sound" the tank makes when driving to uneven road surface.

You can hide the tank inside a custom made enclosure that can double as another bench seat at the back. That is how some AUV owners have done it.

As for the "bottle sound" check if the tank hits any part of the AUV's body. Have it adjusted so there would be no impact.

I had a similar problem when NAIADSS first installed my system. I had them move the tank 1/4 inch away from the trunk wall and the sound disappeared.

On a sidenote, Ferman mentioned on a used car review of the Revo on TGP before that one reason why the Revo has a relatively poor FC is because of an inherently overrich a/f mix and mentioned that tuning with the Unichip improved the FC.

*GH Oh I see at least there's some truth to what
    the seller said.
*ryanboy, what was the FC of your Revo(city driving)
prior to conversion? How much it cost you for the
    conversion?
I inquired at greenfuel for the (SGI) lpg kit (thru email) and
they quoted a price of 39k for the Revo...whew...
thou i can afford the price my concern is how long
will the kit or system work assuming proper maintenance
    is done?

My system is over two years old. Its from NAIADSS though.

So far the only periodic maintenance needed was periodic draining of the vaporizer of the water that collects inside.

    I think you mean 5km/liter.

This should translate to about double (10kpl) if using unleaded/premium, because the price is about double the price of LPG. Hmm... what was your Fuel Efficiency before converting to LPG, sir?

    a/f = air fuel ratio

unichip = a gadget sold by SPEEDLAB which helps tune an engine's performance.
