If its a new filter element, you can have it cleaned a couple of times before replacing. As for the frequency, it depends on how dirty the air is in your area. In my case, cleaning/replacing is done during my 5,000 km intervals unless I feel the car seems to lack power.

do they also apply this computerized tuning to open-loop system?
no, its a manual operation but its possible to have an accurate tuning done with a wide band oxygen sensor. Greenfuel is partnering up with Speedlab for their more advanced tuning capabilities.

    * bigmike,

Special request, please post naman ng pictures showing your volvo's LPG set up. It would also be nice if you can show where you drill holes.

I hope other installers can also show pictures of their installation. Kung step by step summary so much the better. Para bang walk through. This will really be appreciated. As the saying goes...a picture is worth a thousand words.

I'm grateful for the offer, read my PM.

However, IMHO pictures may help others who may not have the opportunity of your gracious offer.

    Unsolicited advice to installers.

I feel there are many out there seriously contemplating doing an LPG conversion, however, I also feel that not all will have the passion to read through the 80 pages plus of this thread to help erase any doubts that are still lingering in their minds to finally close the sale. When I first saw this thread, I was cynical about LPG, but slowly this was replaced by enthusiasm as I begin to understand more about the topic.

LPG will sell itself given the continuous rise in gasoline prices. There is no need for hard sell. It might even be counter productive. For the consumer like myself, I think the dilemma will be the choice of; What system do I choose and more importantly, who will install it? Just my 2 cents.

In the link above where you show pictures of your car's engine bay, I notice that the ECU is exposed. Will this not pose any problem when you need to have an engine wash?
    Hello,

According to the installer, the ECU's casing has been designed to withstand engine heat and engine wash....

Though of course you have the option to have installed under/inside your Dash. (only thing is; there might be a need to remove your dash.....or somethin)

SGI is the way to go for long term performance and fuel efficiency.

    Good hunting my friend.

Moreover what is the point of installing a SGI kit when you do not use the tools (obd and/or oxygen sensor) needed by the ecu to run your vehicle efficiently.... As for euro certification, most kits from europe do undergo this certification whether it is from italy, holland, turke, bulgaria etc.....

At Greenfuel, we offer all year round price of 39K for sgi 4 cylinder and in order to satisfy all you tsikoteers we'll be throwing the option of toroidal tanks free of charge to the first 50 units that come. Offer last until supply lasts.

Like the other installers, we are also recognized by the Dept of Trade and Industry.

sir can you kindly inform me if we can still avail of your promo.

pardon my ignorance, would it be more safe & tidy if you will take out the manifold first before drilling a hole, cause some of the bits & pieces of it might or will definitely go inside of the manifold (if its intake manifold we're talking here).

kindly ignore if am not making any sense.

You have a point however in your case the CRV manifold is abs so there is no metal dust. If we drill through plastic manifold there is no dust but a string thus there is no problem of dust going into the manifold.

HOwever in the case of metal manifold we do not drill in one go we drill in stages and use vacuum to suck the dust out of the manifold. Actually every installer have their own style.

Sir, sana 2L na lang ipinalit ninyo. Talagang uhaw ang 7K at 1RZE engines.
Titipid ka sa LPG dahil mura siya per liter, pero same lang ang consumption as gasoline. In my case (Revo 1RZE), same consumption, pero nearly P900 ang tipid ko per full tank.

The fuel mileage under LPG would roughly be the same with your gasoline consumption although if you get the venturi-mixer type lpg kit, the mileage is slightly lower than gasoline.

As for the problem with your engine, this is not the thread to ask for help. Kindly check under the Toyota sub-forum.
