nice read on the different types of LPG SYSTEMS
    http://www.go-lpg.co.uk/which_conversion.html

sirs' which one of the closed loop system do we have here in the Philippines? The system uses a single point mixer with fuel mixer? Or the multi point gas injector system?

For carburetor engines, the only conversion that can be done is the mixer system or open loop system

For EFI engines up to around yr 2000, you can choose an open loop system or a close loop system. Both systems still used an emulator controller. The difference with the above two system is basically the closed loop system requires and oxygen sensor. As most fuel injected cars in the Philippines prior to yr 2000 do not come with an oxygen sensor the open system is used. In occassions when there is an oxygen sensor in the can then the closed loop system can be used

The other system mentioned is the multipoint injections system or the "SGI" system. This system directly injects lpg into the engine. This is actually the closest system to fuel injection. This is superior to the open and closed system as there is an ecu that is added to the engine that copies your original injection system. This delivers precise amount of lpg to run your vehicle efficiently. Moreover, there are safety features as well as maintenance features that are included added in this system

Up ko lang. I have a Revo 2.0 (1RZE), and still contemplating on conversion. Sa Revo engine (old EFI), tingin ko pinaka-ok yung closed loop. Sabi rin ni bigMIKE, hindi puwede SGI kits sa Revo.

*bigfootoz, meron ba kayo torodial tank? How much closed loop system for the Revo 1RZE (with toroidal tank sana)?

Oops, mali yata ako. 39k pala ang sinabi ni bigMike, hindi 34k... pero who knows? Baka meron ngang 34k na SGI... The closed loop systems sound really good though...

BigMike, I was kinda thinking kasi my car is a 1997 model, it doesnt come with oxygen sensor... however, I found the manual for its engine, and meron ngang slot supposedly for an oxygen sensor. Can I just buy an oxygen sensor, attach it and wire it into the SGI's control module?

    Hi Sharon,

Its so nice to see you here How are you na? You still havent sent me my car's pics... and I still havent been able to visit your new shop since you guys transfered...

Hey Sharon, I might go to Africa soon for some missionary work. My car runs on an Aldessa SGI system without an oxygen sensor... I might end up staying in Africa for about a year, leaving my car idle.

Now, I have someone who will run my car every so often so that it's gasoline line wont become stale and its filter wont be busted,etc...

However, since nobody here knows how to operate my lpg car's system, and since it doesnt have an oxygen sensor (meaning it wont switch to gasoline until the lpg is completely finished), I just usually leave my car on gasoline mode when I go abroad...

How long can the SGI lpg system be left idle without it having problems? Since it doesnt have a fuel filter and all, I would expect that this can be left idle for a longer time than gasoline. Can I just leave my car in gasoline mode for 1 year while I do my missionary work? Thanks Sharon

BTW, if you look hard enough around the thread, you'll find your picture here, hehe... I took the liberty of posting your picture with my car since you still havent emailed me my car's pics from your shop

Also, since my car doesnt have an oxygen sensor, will I expect performance changes if I go up to high-altitude locations such as Baguio? I understand that SGI systems are supposed to readjust the fuel settings based on the atmospheric oxygen content, but since I dont have an O2 sensor, will my engine run lean if I go up there?

Actually we do recommend the emulator system for the revo as we think this is the best suitable conversion based on price and efficiency. After all what we are all here for is savings (both installation and fuel). Our emulator system has been installed in a number of revo already including mine so I do have first hand info on this vehicle. Moreover what is the point of installing a SGI kit when you do not use the tools (obd and/or oxygen sensor) needed by the ecu to run your vehicle efficiently.... As for euro certification, most kits from europe do undergo this certification whether it is from italy, holland, turke, bulgaria etc.....

At Greenfuel, we offer all year round price of 39K for sgi 4 cylinder and in order to satisfy all you tsikoteers we'll be throwing the option of toroidal tanks free of charge to the first 50 units that come. Offer last until supply lasts.

Like the other installers, we are also recognized by the Dept of Trade and Industry.

Hi bigMIKE. Is your promo (toroidal tank) for SGI kits only?

Also, how long ang installation time for the Revo?

Hello! I have a 2000 Ford Lynx A/T. I am a victim of its fuel consumption and I wanted to sell it. Problem is resale value for Ford Lynxes is just too low. Thinking of converting it LPG and just use the car instead. Niky, thanks for your input on some of the Ford problems! Any comments on auto lpg? Price, performance, ROI.

What is your typical fuel bill for a month?

SGI LPG kit = P39,000 by GREENFUEL (full automatic switching function)
Closed Loop Mixer based LPG = P25,000 by DENSO
Open Loop Mixer based LPG = P18,000 by GREENFUEL

    Donut tank available from Greenfuel.

Performance for SGI kits would almost match gasoline performance. Mixer type kits have a a slight but generally unnoticable performance drop, especially nearing the redline of the engine.
