Wouldn't it be cheaper in the long run to remedy the road / path to garage so normal cars can traverse to garage?

Subaru Forester it is then since it has a capable 4WD. Prefer the Mazda CX-5 though.

sir yung incline path namin ang nakalagay ay grip tile na mismo (same sa mga parking lot sa mga malls better pa nga kasi rubberrized yung samin)hence wala ng ibang remedy except to level the whole land(and apparently here in muntinlupa swerte kami kasi bedrock na nakalitaw mismo lupa namin not the red earth from where muntinlupa got its name(munting(red daw meaning according to old language) -lupa))... which would already be absurd since it would be a waste of money

This is a test of previous generation models. It will only be useful if the AWD tech was carried over to the current ones.

The 2.0 crdi tucson is also good. You can shift to AWD if needed. It can outrun a 2.5 monty. No rear A/C though.

Impressive performance by the Forester but if I had a nit to pick, why didn't they show the Subaru starting from standstill on the wet slide like the other makes? It's the only one that didn't show where the rear tires were at the start. If it started from the ramp that would be a huge advantage. Also, the brand placement at the end of the vid just makes it look like a Subaru ad. I think with the right tires and tire pressure each of the other makes could make it up the ramp too.

If you're set on the Forester I agree with JohnM, the Premium might be better if you don't really need the extra power. I heard the XT's ride is stiffer. FC should also be better with the Premium.

meron din kasi na test na ginawa sa sweeden but instead of wet slip n slide ang ginamit sa slope ay rollers sa front wheel, the kuda and subie made it but the crv never did(naitulak ng rear wheel alone yung auto(remeber the front wheel was placed on rollers)).

ang technique na ginagawa namin on wet inclines is, paatras yung parking for fwd cars. i think this is because the weight shifts behind the car when going into an incline which gives less traction on the front wheels.

by the way, the crv just got it's MMC, so probably around 2018 pa lalabas yung all-new model.

My CRV 2009 (4x2) is unable to manage an incline paved with grip tiles when the pavement is wet. But my Altis 2014 easily manages that. Wonder.

CRV has logged around 35,000 kms. Is it time to replace tires?

Check the tire manufacture date. Tires should be replaced every 5 to 6 years regardless or mileage.

CR-V doesn't have much torque down low RPM (specially the 2.0). Just the way Honda makes their engines. But grippier tires would help. Tires tend to become more brittle (harder) and less grippy as they age. Even if they're not worn yet if they spend a lot of time in the sun that would accelerate them getting more brittle. I've seen tires that are only 3 years old with cracks on the tread. These are the ones that spend most of the time in open parking.

From years of experience and countless braking and handling tests, Dueler HTs are absolute **** in the wet. They're designed for long life. Period. Michelin Latitudes are pricey, but they are more comfortable and grippier.
