February 28th, 2011 07:28 PM #31Suggest ko po kumuha kayo ng 2nd hand Suzuki Grand Vitara which is primarily rear wheel driven and has true offroad potential and still civilized on road manners due to the Land Rover style unibody with built in ladder frame chassis. Or if you want it brand new, there's the ever reliable Suzuki Jimny.

Overall efficiency and basic day-to-day traction favors FWD. It also allows for more vehicle interior space and less weight. Up the HPs though and when in search of better car balance, RWD comes in.
On having a ladder frame and unibody construction, to each his own. Ask a 4x4 enthusiast and he'll pick the former, ask someone who's used to sedans and drives around the city with parking on curbs and going through rough, unconstructed roads as the closest to being off-road, he'll choose the latter.
Somewhat expected from a rushed car from a first time carmaker
