Why buy Fortuner even if dont have reverse camera

hirap na ako mag-park ng walang rev camera these days coz malalaki na ang sasakyan, I ordered the Z71 not primarily because it has the 4x4 package on it, but also because it has a rev cam. medyo nag-iisip na ako i-cancel coz ive scanned thru the Chevy Trailblazer club Phils, eh ang common problem ata ng Traiblazer eh alternator malfunction in just more than a year, an owner got towed from Tarlac to Greenhills



MUX - ayaw ko mukang utility vehicle
mOnty - ayaw ko kasi hindi mukang SUV, mukang soccer mom na tinaas
Eve - meron na ako wildtrak, eh likod lang pinalitan kun sakali
TBZ - ok na ok ang Z71, pero after reading the complaints in FB page, and my parking neighbor in the condo shifted from pre-facelift TBZ to Fort in just a year, tapos pag tinanong ko bakit, wala lang gusto lang daw. hinde, hinde ako naniniwala, eh tuso yun kapitbahay kung yun eh, hindi magpapatalo yun (selling the TBZ so low) unless may nagkaproblem din sya

ngaun, I checked the Fort specs and was surprised to see that all models dont have the camera. yes pati yun totl walang rev cam. anu ba yan? although AVT lang yan, andale naman bilhan ng compatible rev camera, ang nakakainis eh madami siguro babaklasin plastic side moldings sa interior and even the dash intself para lang pa daanin yun wire. di naman uso wireless camera sa car tulad ng CCTV. nakakainis!, mag Montero Premium na nga lang ako! at least kumpleto na! bwiset!

and again why do I need the camera, naibangga ko recently ang wildtrak ko while parking in BGC coz I got so many things on my minds, kung wala pa cam yun, mas grabe pa siguro bangga

Yeah.. my friends have their cars installed with back camera.. when they do reverse parking.. i still see them using their rearview and side mirrors.. back camera is just for show. And will sometimes confuse you..

it is not for show. it is useful especially at night or on dark parking areas since the camera has night vision.
in case of SUV which are tall. if your are just looking at the rear view mirror there is still a blind spot on the lower part which the rear view camera can see.
bottom line is rearcam is very useful. TS might want to say why fortuner has no backing cam compared to its counterpart who has standard gadget.

the point it is more convinient since you dont need to go out of your car para lang tignan kung may mga obstructions na di nakikita sa rearview mirror kasi makikita mo na sa HU mo through reversecam at syempre kapag madilim kitang kita mo kasi may night vision nga. pwede mo rin sya maisagad without worrying na maibabangga mo since kitang kita mo na sa camera ung likod ng car.

Reminder... please don't attack something just because you don't have it in your car. So Be objective and see it as it is. A rear cam ADDS value, safety, precaution, convenience whether you like it or not (or whether you have it or not). Distraction...?? You can opt not to use it... at least it's there when you need it.... rainy days, sudden obstacle like dogs or kids (yikes), etc....

If you are to be presented with 2 identical cars except one doesn't have a rear cam and the other one has at the same price... i'm sure majority if not everybody will choose the latter. ;)

Personally kaya ko mag atras ng 6 wheeler truck na side mirror lang gamit, pero very useful talaga ang rear camera kaya meron ito sa personal cars namin. Yang mga batang nasa kalsada ang nakakatakot e

this! this is the main reason why reverse cams were first installed on cars, because there were many accidents specially in the US. they had to find a way to stop killing their children when backing out from their driveways.

so no it is not useless if it is meant to save lives. ok lang magmagaling basta magaling ka nga talaga. pero lahat naman magaling na driver until you kill someone. then you'll have 6-12 years feeling sorry inside your jail cell.

Bakit ka naman bababa? Pwede ka naman tumapat dun sa spot to check then tsaka ka mag position paatras? Ngaun sa bata na biglang tumakbo.. dapat umiikot mata mo sa rearview at side mirror kasi sa side mirror mo makikita yung biglang tumawid..

Wala din pinagkaiba yan dun sa bumaba ka tapos may batang naglaro sa harap ng kotse mo na nakaupo.. wala nga kayo front cam eh

Ngaun sabi ko nga kung mag rear camera kayo dapat yung video nasa rear view mirror din at wala sa HU..

yun reverse cam, pag nagka-meron na kayo hahanap-hanapin nyo, now, 2 of my cars have it. it's a MUST na! and the Fortuner being the most expensive among the 5 PPVs tapos hinde man lang mabigyan ng rear cam, sobrang LET DOWN naman. nagtitiis na nga lang sa entry level no leather seats at 17" rims yun mga tao para lang magka-Fort, tapos rear cam lang wala. eh mataas likod nyan, you cant see everything lalo na nga kung may aso or bata or unano or taong nakakita ng bente sa ilalim ng rear bumper mo

saka, isang nakita usefulness ng rear cam eh kung mag-withdraw sa aTM ang kasama mo tapos waiting ka sa daan, you can always shift to reverse kung may tao sa likod, pero ipreno mo, lalo na kung umuulan o gabi, at least parang pede mo gawin surveillance na din. lalo na HoT car pa, yan mainit sa carjacker ang Toyota. the rear cam can help if somebody approaching or sneaking

so Toyota, kabitan nyo naman ng rear cam, kawawa naman mga constituents nyo oh, pinakamarami PPV buyers, majority walang rear cam hahaha! kakahiya

fafa yebs, no I dont have bike rack, i dont even have a bike. so primitive exercise for me na yun mga ganyan, I do Dojo and aero training, mas pumapayat pa ako kaysa sa mga ganyan na mag-bike at gagastos ng tig 100K na bike at bike rack tapos lalamon ng sinigang o bulalo sa taas ng bundok ng tanay lol

Nag umpisa ako car noon na aircon, am/fm radio lang, pero ngayon ay kailangan ko na ng reverse cam dahil malaking tulong for extra help and safety sa pag park ng kotse. Kung bibili ako Fortuner ay siguradong magpapalagay ako ng reverse cam kaagad.

I don't think a reverse camera is a deal breaker. And if you can't reverse without a camera, you don't deserve your license.
