Lugi ka magfinancing with 2nd hand cars. Besides, I don't think cars as old as the 1st gen CRV are eligible for financing anymore. Kelangan ata five years or less if I'm not mistaken? How much is your budget anyway? Is it only between these two?
I'd go with the FD simply because it is newer. Age difference is too much. FD would also be more fuel efficient than the CRV.
below 450k sir ang budget ko.. ill go for crv if cash and financing for fd?
ung crv kasi gagawin kong project car for the future eh hehe.. gusto ko kasi honda..![]()
Oh, I see... Don't like an Accord? 6th gen 2.3L M/T should be very nice, very fast too. Heck even the 2.0M/T is nice. It'll be more stable than any Civic or CRV and the handling is about as good as it gets for a front drive car of this class.
The 1st gen CRV has no VTEC, so part of the Honda experience is absent, unless you are planning an engine transplant. And then it still uses rear drums, and has no ABS if I'm not mistaken. If floods are not a problem to you, I suppose you'd find more joy with the FD. 2.0M/T if possible. Just try not to overdo it, lest it becomes ricey instead of sporty.
Define first what your priorities are in a car. Then decide on your choices.
Pag cash how much budget?
Edit: sa crv 1st gen, ok pyesa. Mura and easy to maintain. Gas lang talaga negative side. Old, yes, but reliable if you take care of it.
Fd: masaya kasi mas modelo. Ang masakit lang, madami na electronics na pwede masira.
If I were a student, ill take the crv kasi kung may masira, barya lang pyesa. Less things to go wrong kasi almost mechanical pa lahat. Pero kung kaya na maintain, fd na.

Para sakin kasi kung project car, mas ok yung mechanical rather than more electrical. It's still your choice, kung porma trip, kahit alin pwede. Euro, jdm, etc. Marami upgrade na pwede. Mas budget friendly lang crv gen 1.
Best? Better in many ways yung fd.
280k - 300k budget nya eh. hehehe
OT
And about nga po pala sa car na kukunin ko, I'm hired na so pinahiram muna ko ng mga friends ko ng 92' big body., pang buy and sell nila yun pero gamitin ko daw muna for the mean time. Hehehe. I was planning to get a brand new car nalang kasi, may stable income naman na in a few months.

mas ok talaga nag hihintay at nagiisip mabuti hahaha.
EG hatch is outrageously overpriced. It is too barebones in stock form, with no amenities and a puny engine. If it's modified, you can't guarantee it's reliability either.
CRV is fine, though don't expect good FC. The manual may be a bit more liveable though.
If he wants a frugal and fast Honda, I'd suggest a 1st gen Jazz VTEC M/T.
Now, I don't really see anything wrong with a bigbody Corolla, especially if it's the 1.6GLi. Fast, frugal, and extremely reliable. If you're still considering getting installment though, I'd suggest you think hard. Very hard...

FC mas matipid yung FD, although kung 1 or 2 km/li lang ang difference my choice will be the CRV.
for my project/college car i'll choose the crv kasi i want space, higher ground clearance, ok na sa akin 146hp kahit walang vtec. saka bias ako kasi i'm not a fan of any civics.
