Acceleration. Super kupad ng AT. And better FC too. The AT has awful FC in the city, worse than an Altis.

sa previous generations ng vios, yes. tipid sa gas. gen1 AT gets me about 11 km/li . gen2 1.3 gets me 12km/li makati-fairview almost daily route.

    gen3 1.3 get me 7 km/li. lucky if it goes to 8-9 km/li

Probably it's because each new generation of vios gets larger and heavier than the previous model. Kaya mas hirap yung 1.3 engine.

Yup. Sadly, it doesn't seem as efficient anymore. Especially in traffic with the AC on.

Still, you can get 20 km/l at a steady 80 km/h. Which isn't horrible. But you need a really light foot and have to resist every urge to overtake.

And considering you can get 25 km/l+ out of the Mirage G4 at the same speed...

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Weird that Vios 3.0 is less efficient. It grew bigger but iirc, they were able to reduce the weight due to the materials used. It seems more aerodynamic too. A CVT or dual vvti for the facelift should be in order.

I tried going 70-80 only from Subic to Mindanao Ave. via OG-NLEX and only got 18.06 km/L. [emoji24]That's with the aircon at its lowest thermostat and blower settings, with as minimal braking and maximum coasting as possible even in the crowded areas of OG road.

Maybe the current Vios chassis mated with the new Altis' 1.6L engine & CVT tranny would make one good package.

That's about right. If you were on the NLEX and the NLEX only, that translates to about 20-21.

Only time I've gotten in the mid-20's range was driving at a strict 60 km/h with the AC off. Uh... no fun at all.

I'm wondering what you'd get if you tried to measure the AFRs of the Vios on the road... I have a feeling it might be tuned a bit richer than the Gen2, just to curb overheating issues in traffic...

Will probably try a Tarlac-Manila measurement next time since SCTEX to Tarlac is much flatter than SCTEX to Subic. I might get better FC there.

As to the Vios running rich, I think it would've been better if they just improved the aux fan cooling of the car, especially since it's longer now with a bit more hood space than the gen 2.
