ideally 2 vehicles, kasi hinde na practical isang kotse lang ngayon sa isang household, unless tiga province ka at walang coding.
so kung hinde afford 2 top of the lines then kahit mid class lang ok na basta two vehicles.
isa lang bibilhin mo top of the line nga, commute ka naman once a week, hinde na bale pera lang kung hinde ka nag work, ang mga lakad mo lang eh punta ng malls, nood ng side, kain sa mga restaurant etc, ayan pwede ka bumili ng isang top of the line and matulog ka na lang buong araw sa coding day mo...
isang SUV and isang sedan...best of both worlds.

for me, 2 is better than one. if i have 1.8 M cash, i would only use the 800 K and buy 2 2nd hand vehicles, 1 late 90's or early 2000 plus 5-door SUV like mitsu pajero or nissan patrol and one mid-size or compact sedan like mitsu galant, toyota corolla or honda accord/civic/city. May savings pa ako na 1 M. siguro naman, sobrang-sobra nang pang-maintenance and pang-fuel ang 1 M for my 2 vehicles. I can even buy a 150-300 square meters residential lot with 1 M, or a bigger agricultural land, here in our province. Or [wede ring gamitin for business ang 1 M.

IMO, 2 vehicles para sa akin.
1 brand new TOTL Mitsubishi Strada and 1 brand new low-end Hyundai Accent
Pwede ring: 1 brand new low-end Montero and 1 brand new low-end Hyundai Accent. :D
Pero kung 1 vehicle lang gusto mo pwedeng pwede yung Dodge Nitro, 1.9M lang. V6 pa.

Yes two is better than one, Its better to have an alternative car, lalo na pag coding yung isa, and then choose a car sa mga suggestions ng mga tsikoteers kung anu ok para sayo

Walang problema sa TOTL kung kaya bumili kahit 20 pa oks lang...yung binanggit ko previously ay inayon ko lang sa sitwasyon ng thread, limitado budget, either isang TOTL or 2 ordinaryo. Tapos meron pang color coding sa atin so meaning if you have 1 car at your disposal sa isang linggo may isang araw na no choice ka either mag commute or makisakay sa iba or wag lumabas which is hassle.

July 20th, 2011 10:19 AM #36TO ALL: personal opinyon lang po ng mga tsikoteers. marami kasi nagtatanong ng pangcoding kaya i came up with this thread, kung may budget ka naman bakit di nalang dalawa bilhin mo instead of 1 na mahal.
aray aray aray kopo!!!
dami umaasa,wag muna...nyahahaha...

Mahirap talaga pag may "alaga"
Maganda pang everyday car mo yung subcompact tapos pang coding at pang-lakad.

July 20th, 2011 01:24 PM #39Instead of Santa Fe, mag Fortuner V ka na lang. I have been a proud and very satisfied owner.
On the other hand it really depends, as one blogger puts it, whats the purpose why you are contemplating on buying two cars. Coding? Business? Or, as the title suggests, mas gusto mo lang ng may dalawang kotse instead of just one? If its the latter, you have to remember na mas magastos ang mag maintain ng dalawang sasakyan, so in the long run matatalo ka rin. And besides, you also have to consider the resale value (Vios + Innova G) versus 1 high-end vehicle i.e. Sta Fe (pero sa Fortuner pa rin ako)

July 20th, 2011 02:21 PM #40Maybe you can get a ToTL SUV and an Alto with 1.8M diba? I just don't know what ToTL SUV can you get after subtracting the SRP of the Alto from 1.8M..
I suggested the Alto because the second car will be used primarily as a coding car lang naman, plus it's fuel efficient too..
This is just my opinion..
Be careful with channels like "China Observer" on YouTube. There is a clear bias in their posts and...
