Get the diesel, the gas is very thirsty. You'll save a lot in your gas bills due to much better fuel efficiency and the lower price of diesel. Maintenance for the diesel will be a bit higher due to a larger volume of motor oil for changing and more expensive engine components. Though I do not think much about this since it isn't everyday that you bring in your car for maintenance.
