December 6th, 2013 12:10 PM #1Good day Tsikoteers!
I have my FX for almost three years now and so far, though it may not be that too economical in terms of fuel consumption, I'm very satisfied with the service it gave me. It is indeed very easy to maintain, parts are cheap and easy to find. Heck, I can even buy a tire for only 2000 Pesos. For almost three years of ownership, it never gave me any headaches, maybe because I "baby" her too much, and I also dont miss any PM sched. I use it for family use only.
When I was a kid, I fantasize owning a box-type Pajero. Until now everytime I see a well maintained boxtype Pajero, I really crave! Astig na astig talaga ako sa kanya.
Here's the thing, medyo nagdadalawang isip lang ako since it may project a bigger PM cost due to the diesel engine (especially its already an old one). Here are my cons:
1. Consumes more oil
2. Tires costs too much
3. ASBU magnet
3. A/C perhaps is not sufficient (front only)
4. Parts are also (i think) more expensive than on an FX
Here are my Pros:
1. More fuel efficient, plus diesel costs lower than gasoline
2. Higher ride height, higher flood wading capability
3. More comfortable (i think) in rough roads than in an FX
4. Looks more "Astig" and upscale than the FX
I would appreciate your insight if its OK to let go of my FX in exchange of the old Pajero.
Thank you!
