    Needs an SUV/MPV.....

    1. 3-4 passengers plus driver, with hand carried luggages
    2. 70% out of town trips with light off road routes- rough roads, zigzags, and few mountain areas
    3. Will probably run 25k to 30k kms per year at the least
    4. Does not need a 4wd, 4x2 will do
    5. Will shuttle consultants (local and foreign) most of the time, and occasional personal use
    6. MT or AT, not an issue
    7. Diesel

Currently with sedans and van, another van is an option but not a must.

Considering Montero, Innova (no fortuner please, i just don't like it), and Everest ONLY.

The previous thread i made, (Bagong kotse thread)
helped me and my sister to decide which car to get, so fire away.

    Suggestions and recos again.tia

Everest's advantage is that, wifey have direct access with the Borromeos of Ford Alabang, hefty discount is a possibility.😀

^^^ If that's the case, go with the Everest. One cannot refuse a hefty discount, plus you may even be extended further discounts when you have the vehicle maintained at Ford Alabang.

Malaki ba improvement ng latest everest sa first gen, in terms of space?

We used to have the first gen, and find the legroom a bit cramped

Even if you don't have the connections, the Ford Everest is really being given at a hefty discount in anticipation of the new model coming out.

    Toyota Innova.

i'd choose a brand which has a casa or shop near your residence or workplace..
convenience is an under-thought feature in choosing a vehicle..

Among the three, the Everest has the best engine. It would appear that it also suits your preferences, being so rugged and roomy. The Montero GLX is more modern and comfortable though. It's black interior is also a plus for me as compared to the Everest's beige.

Perhaps you'd want to add a little bit and spring for the Montero GLS-V instead.

I suppose a family visit to the showroom, and possibly also a test drive is in order.

No worries on casa location. My place was a 5 minute drive from any casa, whatever the brand is.

And i rarely go to casa, never went back after the vehicle were released. It's just my trusted neighborhood petron service center who do the job.

I always ask myself if I'm a first time buyer of SUVs, and I will always answer a Montero. Mitsubishi sells cars in 15-20 year interval lol. that means the Montero will outlast every SUV in the market today. Plus, the Montero design is somehow universal, it can be compared with 80's box type macho look and it can be curvy as well as recent cars. great if your sentimental in getting your first car to last your lifetime

I don't own a Montero though lol. I already have 3 reliable SUVs now all bought before this Montero was released in 2009. kaya inggit na lang ako everytime I see this car on the road.
