go to the yaris they have a 75K discount on their AT one... sana nakatulong . :D
The ALTO is quite small for your needs.just want to give my wife a car that she can drive with our kids and 2 yayas.
The AVEO is just too risky to own one.
How about the AVANZA? Can seat 7, competitively price, and can fill your needs. Its a bestseller and got the Toyota badge (if you're a brand snob) so product and third party support is there. Its bigger than a subcompact/hatchbacks like its Vios and Yaris siblings.

The question is, is the Avanza ok to drive for his wife? I was thinking also of Avanza pero I normally don't suggest it to people who are handling conscious because of it RWD config...
natumbok mo Sir
will tell her about the SWIFT (cramp back seat) or Yaris by Toyota.
any other suggestions or comments are all welcome po.
passengers will be:
my wife (5" height and slim)
2 kids (age 5 & 10 yrs old)
2 yayas (teenagers).
I think Yaris ka na given its nice price.
How long is your wife driving?
Your kids will grow, your yayas may change, or your wife may not stay slim. Get the idea? Choosing a hatchback will just be a near-term solution. The cramp space will eventually be an issue.
Provide one that offer more versatilility. Groceries. Your children's chums. Things you have to squeeze in.
That is why betwen an expensive car, I will choose to have my wife some lessons in driving. Hands-on experience lang yan. P700,000 is a lot of dough. Better to change attitude and act accordingly.
My dos centimos.
thanks for the suggestion Sir.
this will be our first car and my wife is not driving frequently as we use my brother's Starex/driver to drive her and kids to and from school and her office.
maybe we get another car or van when the time comes. at this point po kasi nahihiya kami sa brother ko at dun sa driver nila kaya I am looking for a good car for the wife![]()

If budget allows, the Grand Livina would be nice. Of course, subject to your wife's driving skills.
By the way, an MPV/AUV-type vehicle is a good first family car. And the Avanza is the cheapest fairly decent vehicle that I know of.
Good luck. You know best for what you need.
Cheers.
Sir di ata kakasya 5 tao sa alto, kumasya man masikip...lalo na mga bata baka mag alboroto mag nasikipan....IMO avanza may laban, di naman siya ganun kalakihan, tsaka sanayan lang yan, for me its better to have one(space) and not need it, than not have it when you need it..![]()
Hi guys, maraming salamat sa mga feedback ha. i have told my wife about YARIS and she said that she will go back to TOYOTA for test drive.
I am glad I've found this website and I am very thankful for all your comments guys!
My wife also says na if budget permits, try nya din daw tingnan yung Jazz ng Honda.
I work here in Tokyo so I can easily get any japanese car parts if ever na kailangan ni Misis sa Pinas.
Please advice.
Sir sa brand new, walang problema pag dating sa parts, kasi may 3-year warranty yung unit mo. Kung alaga naman sa regular PMS, no worries kayo, whether Jazz or any other brands.
Regarding naman sa parts if diyan ka bibili, may corkage fee ang casa like kung dala ka ng oil, but for parts I dont know kasi ang alam ko dadaanan muna yan sa QA nila before ikabit.
That is not true. Kinda like how Pinoy says that Toyota is reliable, Honda is always associated with expensive parts. That is so 90's... 2009 na tayo! Their parts are all priced roughly the same. Advantage pa nga Honda because they require you to do PMS only every 10,000km whereas Toyota requires you every 5000km....
agree ako sa yo Sir. yan din ang sabi ko kay misis eh. she's just overlooking the future after daw na mag expire na yung warranty for parts/services.
Sir nagising ako sa comment mo. Im glad to hear about that.
hehehe if ever siguro... hindi na talaga AVEO or ALTO. this will now be YARIS or JAZZ kasi eto na yung natitirang nagugustuhan ni misis.
eto ngayon mga bossing, YARIS has big discount promo (75K?)....
please advice on the PROs and CONs of YARIS & JAZZ... in A/T
Looking forward to your comments mga bossing.
