recommendation for a sub compact sedan

I think it's because designers emphasized on maximizing rear space, which is why the Almera's rear proportions look elongated compared to the rest of the car.

But then again, I'd pick this design over the IMHO even uglier Fiesta sedan.

Patrol Royale na pinaka huling nagustuhan ko sa "modern" designs nila.

Sayang lang wala daw ilalabas na Accent Diesel sedan. Puro hatch lang pero panalo sana yan.

Lahat ng designer nila napunta sa design team ng GT-R eh.

Bro, you will never find any info about the Almera in Mitsubishi's site. Nissan kasi yun.
Kahit sabihin nating on paper lang yun, 98hp is definitely not a big number especially for a 1.5L engine. And they say it's an all new engine.

Don't knock it until you've tried it at the very least. ;) 98hp is about 9hp shy of the Vios 1.5L and in the case of Nissan engines, the lower HP ratings is usually compensated by good torque (lower rpm range peak torque).

Maybe Nissan retained the services of the first gen Altima. :D

The lancer ex is 828k after discounts. AT na yun matipid daw sa gas and its a looker. Yun boto ko since abot naman ng budget. Its a class higher than the cars youre looking for pa :D

That 98 hp rating may be what allows the Almera to get that 24 km/l.

Realistically, the only subcompacts that can get over 20 km/l are the old iDSi City, the Vios and the Almera. All three have engines with "disappointing" peak power figures.

Boring, weird or not, I can't wait to test the economy claims.

Yes tipid nga yung idsi ganun gamit namin although disappointed kami sa honda coz of the cvt issue that we recently read about. In short nabawasan tiwala namin sa honda unlike before.

Maliit siya pag kinumpara sa kalinya niya like Elantra, Civic, etc. Pero compared sa City im not sure if it applies but I guess yung malaki sa linya ng Vios, City and the like (sub compact), would we equivalent sa maliit nung compact cars.

Sobrang laki ng trunk ng City compared to other subcompacts, definitely beats out the Lancer EX.

Sige hahanap ako ng malapit na mitsubishi dealer to check ok na kasi sa misis ko ang lancer pero pag nalaman nya na maliit trunk baka magdalawang isip isa kasi yun sa priority namin. Strange na ang hirap maghanap ng info sa trunk size nya.

Other than that ok undocumented features like alarm, 60/40 rear seat, movies via usb, touchscreen display para madali mamili ng phone contacts and 6 speakers. Mukhang puede din upgrade para may gps, tv at tire monitoring. Puntahan namin ng misis ko this weekend. Thanks sa nagsuggest!

Ako yung nagsuggest sir! wahahaha Love your own eh so be proud hahaha Anyway, yung akin naupgrade ko na yung GPS, naka base unit lang ako, Im not sure pa about Tire Monitoring if ever gusto ko din yan pati TV! May idea ka kaya kung san pwede ikonsulta yan? hehe Kasi sarap manood ng movie dito eh kaya gusto ko din yang TV na yan, decent naman kasi sounds kahit papano. :-) hehe

Matutuwa anak ko dati pa gusto palagyan ng dvd player yung city namin. Rechecked the mitsubishi page andun pala yung mga features na nakita ko kanina sa lancer ng officemate ko like alarm, 60/40 seat etc wala lang sya sa summary ng specs which is what I checked last night. My mistake :-)

Sir standard discount yung 828k kulitin mo rin yung SA baka ilibre sayo yung sd card para sa gps. Or discount at least. :D
