Prado vs Pilot

You don't have to go off roading, the roads in the Philippines is already considered off road compared to US roads. Long term the body on ladder frame chassis of the Prado will have less flex as it ages compared to the unibody of the Pilot after exposure to such bad roads. Besides the Prado is a Lexus here in the US.

Maybe TMPI read the Toyota D4D Engine Woes thread and at some point decided against upgrading the local Prado for fear of pissing off some wealthy bigshot.

Hehehe! Good point. Although there are quite a number of bigshots pissed off with their Fortuners, there are probably gonna be more affected bigwigs if it happens to their Prados. Anyhow, on a different point, TMPI has definitely got to fix their D-4D.
