addition lang sa difference between pre and post 97 model, naayos na nila yung rust problem dun sa roof ng rear door.

i'll choose the patrol, anyday, anytime. matibay and malakas. function over form. ;)

ako Safari din, b4 i own 01 Pajero Fielmaster i sold it, ang kapalit 98 executive series Safari, haping hapi ako lakas humatak at dignified at respetado ka sa kalye, nanibago lng ako sa umaga kailangan pang painitin ng husto ang makita, (may alam ba kayo na pawedeng ilagay para uminit agad tulad ng starex, o i have to lib wd dat?) pero bilib ako sa cooling system halos di umaakyat kahit trapik. medyo masikip lng legroom pero oks lang maliliit naman kaming tao. pero sa kalye bruskong brusko dating mo halos di ka dinidikitan.

what's the advantage of a rotary fuel injection pump compared to the inline? lesser ba ang maintenance?

Maintenance wise, yes. rotary types don't need that much cod liver oil. But rotary types are much costlier to repair incase damaged.

maraming mechanical probs ang mitsu...just not sure with the Pajero.

    so far...

power windows, taillights na laging pundido, horns, wipers, malfunctioning warning lights, column stalks for headlights.........

Yup, 115bhp straight 6 engine. No high tech gizmos, pulls like a locomotive.

urban look: pajero. serious offroader look: patrol (it really looks at home in the aussie trails)

we have both, and i would give the nod to the patrol anytime. it will run circles around the pajero in terms of performance. in fact if i feel like it, stock corollas and civics will be hard pressed to keep up in nlex

yung ride tingin ko pareho lang eh, although may tendency na maging floaty yung safari sa highway. lamang naman ang pajero sa comfort, especially sa 2nd row seats mas maluwag sa legroom. the safari's cooler comes in handy though. oh, and the airconditioner is tops in the safari too.

sa maintenance, mahal ng konti sa safari (2 oil filters, more minola needed, slightly more expensive nissan parts) hehe and the injection pump is an expensive proposition if it needs replacement (be careful where you fill up, but i guess this is true for any engine anyway).
