June 20th, 2016 07:06 PM #21any of the two will be worth your hard earned money.
maging concious ka lang sa maintenance ng CASA, kasi madaming "add-on" na hindi naman kailangan or dapat pero syempre, the SA will convince you.
more or less, miantenance cost sa casa should not be more than 3.5k per 5000kms. vios ko every 10k maintenance pero i need to go back every 5000k for other maintenance services - in all i am averaging 2.5k per 5000kms maintenance cost.

June 24th, 2016 06:58 PM #22What's the average fuel consumption of a 1.3 manual vios?
I'm in a similar situation but i'm considering vios j mt and swift 1.2 mt. I heard the swift can do 12km/l city driving.
I have no idea on the maintenance cost of both. Feel free to chime in if you do.
The car i want to get will primarily be used for city driving (pasig-san juan) and during rush hour. My primary consideration is cost of operating (PMS and fuel consumption. Ofcourse parts availability and overall "tibay" are important as well. Resale value not so much as i will be using it for at least 5 years so it will probably reach floor value by then.
Your thoughts?

Vios.
Our 2010 AT/E is averaging 12-14 km per litre, on a mixed cycle. An MT will give you better figures.

Like what others said, vios E is the better buy at that price range. 700k above. It is basically better built compared to the mirage.
Never mind the taxi look.
Just for comparison, 2015 vios E a/t consumes 7 to 8kpl city driving.
Mirage mt consumes 10 to 13 kpl city driving.
Consumption may vary depending on your route.
But if max budget is below 650k. then mirage glx is better choice.

Same driving conditions ba? Not all city driving is the same.
Even with the same car, I get anywhere between 6.5 and 10 km/L for city driving depending on what part of the metro I drive in, and what the traffic condition are.

Be careful with channels like "China Observer" on YouTube. There is a clear bias in their posts and...
