Hindi ko na option yung Civic FD. My officemate has one. Halos same kami ng route, but doble kami ng fuel expenses. And yes, driving the adventure is a practice of patience, hehe. Though, in all our years of ownership, wala itong naging problema.
Go ka na sa Vios 09-10' model bro. Look for SE version. This model is already equipped with a TRD rims and lip spoiler. My co-worker just bought a 2nd hand too just last month at the same price.

I'd go with either Gen2 Vios G or Accent CRDi

things to look out for sa Vios
Happened to some colleagues at VCP.
-squeaking fan belt, parang may sisiw sa engine bay mo. Pero belt dressing could cure this (as I do in my previous Vios) or replace with 'Bando' brand belts for just 850PHP.
-My only major repair of my previous gen is the Aux fan which mysteriously came loose at around 60000kms.
-VVT-i engine prone to engine sludge.

things to look out for sa Accent CRDi
-tensioner, plastic rotating parts where sa serpentine belt passes. the plastic part tends to be 'cooked' in heat
-stab link, tie-rod problems at around 80tkms
    -turbo condition
-do not use 'partsmall' brand for brake replacements. Bendix are now available.
    -Hyundai-Mobis parts are generally affordable.

    Goodluck. YGPM reply also.

Plus good quality engine parts or OEM lang ang carry nila.
Pero later on if your belt is still in good condition check on your AC bearing. Pag sobrang higpit, ganun mangyayari.

Okies I'm familiar naman sa Toyota's good quality parts like toyorama, celeste, gant, aerodynamics etc.. I think na bearing siguro ito coz kaka 40K PMS ko lang sa casa last month at ang sabi no wear & tear pa naman daw lahat ng belts. BTW saan pala pwede magpa change ng A/C bearing besides casa for my reference lang sana?

2008 Vios 1.3E kanya. Bumigay at around 60Tkms naman na.

Belt dressing does not address the root cause of the problem (ie. problem with bearing, pulley, tensioner, etc..) but rather simply cover it (squeaking noise) up.

Also most new vehicles now have an auto tensioner that prevents misjudgement as in the case of overtensioning the belt. For those without this feature, you will need to consult a shop manual that will show the amount of acceptable deflection or travel (of the belt).
