August 21st, 2013 01:09 PM #21Pwede rin. I've seen Isuzu D-Max IPV, NHR-PV and Hyundai H100 used for UV Express. I personally find the Hilux less bouncy than the D-Max. You can consider the Mitsubishi L200 FB too. Being Strada based, it is likely even more comfortable.

August 21st, 2013 01:41 PM #24Most UV Express prefer Nissan Urvan for a high capacity vehicle. Nissan has many promos that support UV Express service. If you don't mind the higher cost, it can also seat upto 21 passengers.
Cars like the Hilux FX, D-Max IPV and L200 FB are better in the sense that they have a hood. It is much safer in a front end collision. Since the engine is not directly below the seat, you wouldn't be slowly cooked while you are driving for the whole day.

August 21st, 2013 02:07 PM #25Ang plan ko kasi guys ay yung byaheng Mariking to Cubao lang, so inaasahan ko na maraming sasakay at bababa all the way. So ayoko ng urvan type na van. Yung L300 FB sana kaso lumang-luma na yung technology niya eh. Notorious ba yung D4D engine sa problems?

August 21st, 2013 02:39 PM #26I remember the school bus in my old school was an L300. Laging nasisira ang aircon.
As for the D4D, not really. As long as you fill it up with clean diesel (preferably Unioil's Euro 4 diesel), change the fluids on time, and cool down the turbo after a whole day of use, there shouldn't be any problem.

KUNG UV express, better get a van...
THE BIGGER the better and you got more passengers, double ang kita kada byahe...
ex. byaheng fairview-ayala 80 pesos per head... CROSSWIND OR ADVIE.. 10X80= Php 800
URVAN OR HIACE COM. 18X80= Php 1440
DIFF. OF 640 PESOS kada byahe...
more or less round trip mileage mo nasa 50 kms.
when it comes naman sa F.C. ave. F.C. NG van 8km/liter ---- 6.25 liters x 42php/ liter = Php 262 divide by the no. of passengers 18 = Php14.55/passenger
advie or crosswind 10km/liter ---- 5 liters x 42/liter -=Php 210 10 = 21.0/passenger
malaman almost double din ang boundary ng van....
IF i were you get an 18seater van.....

August 21st, 2013 06:47 PM #29That's what I noticed too. Mga school service or pang deliver ang nakikita ko na L300 FB or Hilux FX.
Given their prices and seating capacity, dapat mabenta na yan for UV Express kaso bakit walang bumibili... There must be a reason for it. Ang may alam na sagot diyan ay ung may mga UV Express units.
Imagine, how much is an Urvan or a Commuter as compared to those, pero mas madami pang Urvan or Commuter kaysa diyan.

Marikina-cubao, or SSS Village Cubao? kung terminal to terminal, ok yung van pero kung lagare sir na biyahe mas ok yung AUV
IMHO hanap ka na lang may existing linya na ibang route kase yung Marikina cubao mahina yan sir hindi all the time maraming pasahero hindi mabilis yung ROI, BTW taga saan ba kayo sir?
Be careful with channels like "China Observer" on YouTube. There is a clear bias in their posts and...
