    Hello Everyone,

So my company offered a Car Plan to some employees and luckily I was included.

They would sponsor up to 500k and the remaining amount would be handled by me.

I'll be selling my 2014 Focus M/T to add to the amount and also to change to A/T due to traffic. I still cannot decide whether to get a brand new car or second hand(mint) car.

I won't be upgrading to an SUV/MPV since I still prefer driving a sedan and also don't need the space they provide.

Please help me pick which car to buy. Here are my Top picks for the cars, I prefer it to be below 1M.
    1. 11th gen Altis 2.0V (700-800k)
    2. Mazda 3 Skyactiv 2.0V (600-700k)
    3. 9th gen Civic 2.0 (500-600k)
    4. 10th gen Civic 1.8 (800-900k)
    5. Focus Ecoboost (600-700k)
    6. Honda City(Brand New)
    7. Mazda 2(Brand New)

    My preference would be
    1. Easy to Drive Daily especially on tight spaces
    2. Fuel Consumption
    3. Space for 4-5
    4. Parts and Maintenance

    TIA

You can buy a used Forester 2014 for around 800k. Among the choices above, a used Civic 10th gen or Mazda3 2.0L SkyActiv would s good buy for 700-800k.

Altis, the 3, and civic would be the best choice.

    Mazda 3 2.0R definitely.

Take advantage of Mazda's low resale value. The Mazda 3 2.0R is fully loaded and is a much better car than a brand new City or Mazda 2. A 3 year old Mazda 3 shouldn't be a headache to maintain either. Just regular maintenance.

You save so much and get much better value for money getting a fairly new secondhand car. If I had an option to go secondhand for my car plans, I'd do so in a heartbeat

From your priorities it would seem that the Honda City ticks all the boxes. Decent cabin and cargo space while still maintaining subcompact dimensions, decent fuel consumption with good perfomance, a 10tkms service interval and lots of parts. Added bonus that you can get it brand new with all the bells and whistles. I know many accomplished doctors and business executives who use this as their daily driver. Low key yet refined enough for their tastes perhaps?

I would also suggest the Altis, should you want something more upscale. But get the 1.6 variant for fuel efficiency. Reason to buy? Its a Toyota, period. And also that jut703 swears by its performance despite the low displacement.

After reading the replies, I may just get a used car. So ill be narrowing down to the following.

    1. Altis 2014(2.0) or 2017 1.6
Which is better of the 2?
    2. Mazda 3 2014 2.0
Is the maintenance not that costly especially that the battery is the the regular one from motollite
    3. Civic FB 2.0 or FC 1.8
Which is more value for money between the two?
    4. Subaru Forester XT or 2.0
Is the parts and maintenance not much of problem?

    2017 1.6 Corolla
    Civic FC

Just going for the newer choices.

sabi ng may ari ng talyer sa banawe na pinapagawan ko, mabili raw ang toyota (altis), dahil maraming piyesa at madali raw kumpunihin.

    sales talk?

Lagi naman yan ang naririnig ko. Sa opisina halos lahat naka-Toyota. From Fortuners down to Wigos. Official cars are Hiluxes, Revos, Corollas and Innovas. So boring. Wala pa yata kami 5 na naka-Kia, Honda, Nissan at Suzuki.
