How about the Vios 1.3 J M/T? PHP630l The new vios is gorgeous!!! I am even tempted to get one. The vios is a reliable car and everyone says it's very much tipid sa gas. You get a trunk too if you choose the Vios.

and Cathy .. the first time i saw Mirage over the web. na empress na ako.. So ill see if personally mas tataas pa siguro paghanga ko.

Kung takot ka sa resale value mag second hand ka na lang. Ewan ko ba sa inyo bibili kayo ng brand new pero yung resale value iniisip nyo paglabas pa lang naman ng casa depreciated na yan.

Wag ka mag alala Syuryuken.. Kung sakali mang makuha ko ang unit, wala naman akong balak na ibebenta kotse ko. Napag-usapan lang naman. Alam naman natin na walang brand new na sasakyan na d nag dedepreciate. Just wanting to add up sa discussion. May be my other option for a short stay is a car rental instead of a brand new car. An Accord or a Camry or a Fortuner or a Montero.

The 3 month rental may not be higher than the yearly depreciation cost + maintenance cost + insurance + registration cost of a brand new car.

So in 3 years the alto depreciated in 46% (370k-200k)
Yaris: 25%
Fiesta: 38%
Jazz: 23%
Celerio: 37%
i10: 32%

No Mirage for obvious reasons, but most of the Mitsubishi range does pretty well
I actually cannot find anything worse than the alto terms of depreciation
An expedition is at ....... 43%
BMW/MBs go at about 30-45%

Yes ako sa rental car, ready b mga relatives mo na iwanan.ng responsibility to take care of your car, baka later on pagmulan pa yan ng ingitan sa mga relatives mo kung sino ang pwede gumamit pag wala kayo

Wala namang problema sa iiwanan.. Yung rental. sayang din ung almost 100k mo na rent. kng mag stay for 3 months. Instead set ko na lang sa car for dp mas sigurado pa na mapapasaakin pa ang unit.

Convince naman ako sa mirage. pero kung may inputs ka welcome din.
Sa question mo ito ang reason.

1. Planning for a affordable car whenever nasa pinas for vacation. It short iiwanan lang ang car sa relatives after 3 months vacation. Purpose: to have a car to use each vacation since nasa province ang place.
2. Cars option mirage and alto.
3. Delimma between the 2, because since i cant used it always. i want a good reason to get either of the two that is worth buying. kung baga mas wiser decision.

No no for 2nd hand cars dahil ayoko ko ng sakit sa ulo lalong lalo na kng d kakilala ang pagkukunan d mo alam ang makina kng ano ang history. I dont want to spend my time looking around and checking for a good quality. Pachamba nga lang kng ok ang makuha o hindi.

No din sa rental cars. Try to imagine. each time na magbabakasyon mag spend ka ng kulang kulang 100k sa bakasyon dahil sa rent. Multiply mo sa tuwing uwi mo. simple mathematics na lang.. Sa unang rent mo for 3 months example pwede ka na makapag down ng unit na siguradong sa iya talaga.

So if you have anything to add up. Please feel free.
