Mitsubishi Mirage or Suzuki alto

HI Guys,

Bago lang ako sa site na to. Need ko talaga inputs nyo kung ano ang pipiliin ko. Mitsubishi Mirage ba o ang Suzuki alto. Kailangan ko lang ng affordable na car dahil kami ng asawa ko pareho sa labas nagtatarabho at d naman kmi nagtatagal sa pinas at iiwan lang ang car para sa tuwing magbabakasyon kmi meron naman kming magagamit. Ito kasi ang magiging unang car naming mag asawa. Kailangan ko lang ng may magagamit dahil may baby na kmi. mahirap kasi sa probinsya kung mag long travel lagi.
Usually 3-4 months kami nagbabakasyon, sa palagay nyo ba is it worth ba ang Mirage sa price difference nya sa Alto na deluxe, or ang Alto lang dahil iiwan lang naman namin sa kapatid ko para may mag maintain sa car. I want a car na hindi rin naman ako magsisi sa bandand huli, at magagamit ng matagalan. Maapreciate ko talaga kung meron kayong mga idea na ma e share.

Maraming salamat,, nabasa ko nga ung mga threads tungkol sa mirage, so far sa satisfaction rate talaga naman mataas sya. Kung iiwan ko lang naman sya at gagamitin ko lang sa tuwing uuwi in between ako ngayon kng wise choice ba kahit na medyo pricey sya.

If these are your only 2 options, go for the Mirage, its bigger and offers safety features, even the base Mirage has airbags.

I agree AG4, thats 1 reason why i feel mostly for mirage. nasa dilemma lang talaga ako kung alin sa dalawa ang kukunin ko dahil iiwan ko lang sa pinas tuwing alis ko, so d ko rin sya magamit lagi. Kailangan ko lang ngayon ng valid reason na kahit bumili ako ng car, d ako magsisi sa higher price kahit d ko man masyado magagamit. Kung bumili man ako ng cheaper magiging satisfied kaya ako dahil nakamura ako o hindi dahil sa less features. Kung mirage naman, why mirage? budget wise ba kahit iiwanan lang at magagamit lang tuwing magbabakasyon kmi?

For me, frequency of usage is not a reason to sacrifice one's safety. If you think spending P498K (price of a base Mirage) is too much for a car that won't be used daily, have you considered a 2nd hand/used car?

Mirage din vote ko sa dalawa. Kapag naka display kahit alin sa dalawang iyan sa malls sa Mirage napapausyoso ako, may appeal. Pero yung Alto wala talaga. Kahit nakikita ko sya never ako nagkaroon ng interest na silipin siya. Parang luma at mumurahin ang dating niya sa akin.

On the other hand selling point rin siguro ng Alto iyon. Dahil walang appeal less possibility ma-carnap.

I'll go for the Mirage. The Alto looks too small and flimsy for highway driving. The Mirage is already a good buy relatively to the Alto as it is packed with features.

Go for the Mirage..especially the new sedan that will arrive..it has more space/ fuel efficient compare to Alto.

I'm already asking around for mirage deals, but still wanting to ask around for some reasons as for my concerns. Mirage is really my choice as for now. For budget car, alto comes first... for leaving it back home and use it only during vacation ( but of course leaving it, doesnt mean nobody will be taking care of it, i have my siblings to do the maintenance ) is it worth buying?

The fact that you are going to leave it does not mean that you are not going to use it in the future, right? Now, let us say even if you use it only during your vacation, wouldn't you be more confident that you are in a bigger car with more safety features especially when travelling in the province and you have a baby on board?

Kung iiwan mo rin sa relatives mo to maintain the car at gamitin nila, wouldn't it be better to know that what they are using is the safer car?

I would get the mirage if I were in your shoes. It is better to have a safer car but more expensive than a cheaper one that is less safe. But that's just me.... HTH

May be my other option for a short stay is a car rental instead of a brand new car. An Accord or a Camry or a Fortuner or a Montero.

The 3 month rental may not be higher than the yearly depreciation cost + maintenance cost + insurance + registration cost of a brand new car.

Wala namang problema sa iiwanan.. Yung rental. sayang din ung almost 100k mo na rent. kng mag stay for 3 months. Instead set ko na lang sa car for dp mas sigurado pa na mapapasaakin pa ang unit.

Convince naman ako sa mirage. pero kung may inputs ka welcome din.
Sa question mo ito ang reason.

1. Planning for a affordable car whenever nasa pinas for vacation. It short iiwanan lang ang car sa relatives after 3 months vacation. Purpose: to have a car to use each vacation since nasa province ang place.
2. Cars option mirage and alto.
3. Delimma between the 2, because since i cant used it always. i want a good reason to get either of the two that is worth buying. kung baga mas wiser decision.


No no for 2nd hand cars dahil ayoko ko ng sakit sa ulo lalong lalo na kng d kakilala ang pagkukunan d mo alam ang makina kng ano ang history. I dont want to spend my time looking around and checking for a good quality. Pachamba nga lang kng ok ang makuha o hindi.

No din sa rental cars. Try to imagine. each time na magbabakasyon mag spend ka ng kulang kulang 100k sa bakasyon dahil sa rent. Multiply mo sa tuwing uwi mo. simple mathematics na lang.. Sa unang rent mo for 3 months example pwede ka na makapag down ng unit na siguradong sa iya talaga.

Mirage is good, vios is better. Sa may pamilya mas maganda pa rin ang may trunk para sa mga gamit. Consider mo din ang avanza.
