IMHO, between the two?

thats my dilemna sir, kung single lang ako, i will go for the outlander.. kaya lang, whats really holding me back is the 7 seater of the sta fe plus its crdi. sometimes, when the family goes out, we needed to bring 2 cars kasi my xtrail can only seat 4 kasi child seat takes up one space..

actually, i was already decided to get the sta fe, but when i saw the ads for the 2.4 outlander, and i saw it on the showroom, my decision making was messed up again.. hehe

look at it this way..mas safe yung 2 sasakyan kesa isa.

ako i chose the SF over the Outlander not only because of the 7 seater ng SF also because the SF felt like you are riding in a luxury vehicle unlike the Outlander feeling ko ordinary vehicle... if the Outlander came in leather seats and had better seats then it would have made it harder to choose... however, the SF really feels luxurious...

Since you are a dad, get the Santa Fe because it is much more convenient. I don't care if the Outlander is not equipped with leather. I'll just wear my gloves, give me a mountain and take some twisties...

Buti pa ako, single pa... I'm not old and I can still be selfish! :hysterical:

Well, being a Mitsu fan I need not to force you to buy the Outlander. I am not biased about it since I was saying things like CRDi and CVT (Pros and Cons), plus you didn't mention about your experience about your X-Trail from the start.

Since parents are too much embarrassed to be seen in a minivan/van nowadays. Go for the alternative of all vans - the Hyundai Santa Fe or get a minivan/van if you don't worry about image.

For goodness sake, give your family a break! Comfort is a top priority right? So get a van! This comparison is going nowhere pero a van will only suit your needs.

SUV/CUV's 3rd rows aren't that comfortable. Imagine sitting there going to Baguio? What a hospitable Filipino. Only kids will survive and me as a kid don't want to be in there.

    Just my opinion.

There was only one choice for me.

I've had my Outlander for 5 months now and it's the best vehicle I've ever owned. Mine is from the UK and is the commercial model for carrying goods (no 2nd or 3rd row seats) but nobody can tell. It's fast, handles corners very well because of the stiff suspension and the 19" wheels I have with 245/45/19 Pirelli Pzero. Also mine is a diesel engine and saves a lot of fuel and the size of the vehicle is small enough to fit in my small garage at home.

Most of all though, you can modify this vehicle heavily to your own taste with genuine Mitsubishi parts. Here are some pictures of my Outlander:

    Cargo area, no rear seats

Kakainggit naman yung Outie ni zontarh, diesel-equipped. No need to sacrifice performance for practicality.

Sana magkaroon ng variant na yan dito, especially the 2.0 DI-DC Diamond M/T, kahit gray market. If I have the cash, I'd go for it.

Yung space gear na lang na AWD naging poular dito pero as a subic import despite the risks of conversion. I heard kasi under tayo ng Mitsu Taiwan and THOSE guys hate diesels.
