sir niky - Thanks for the tip on the 19" wheels. Appreciate it. Hindi ba mavovoid ung warranty pag nagpakabit ng backing up camera outside the dealership?
sir JohnM - researched and saw the backing camera but worry ko lang is baka ma void ung warranty. Isa pa baka walang nagkakabit ng ganyan sa Iloilo.
sir (or kuya) germs - aray, ang sakit nung price. OK, solid na ako sa 17" stock wheels. Mukhang maganda naman ung alloy rims nun eh.
sir speed_kills - appreciate the info. Try ko mag haggle sa local dealership pag-uwi ko, knowing na kaya pala hanggang 70K discount. :-)

Pareho tayo ng problema since the closest casa sa amin is CDO. Dad talked to the casa na and they're willing to install a cam as long as plug and play lang.

Wala pa sir. Bibili kami as soon as may nakapag-pakabit na ng camera sa stock HU.

Performance? 1000kms agad ang takbo wala pang 1 week. 10,000 kms checkup after 6 months. Hataw mode on provincial hiways and 14kpl ang consumption using Nitro+. Siguradong tulog ang pasahero even when cornering at slightly insane speeds. And di ako ang may-ari nyan. The CX5 is owned and driven hard by my parents who are certified senior citizens

They found out early na the engine is not happy shifting below 2200rpm so lately normal na daw sa kanila to shift at 3000 or 4000 rpm when overtaking. Brakes are also very good and on panic stops (jaywalking carabao) dikit sa front seat backs ang rear passengers kung di nila suot ang kanilang seatbelts.

Space-wise naka-dekwatro na ang front passenger and the passenger behind. Max of four lang usually sila for long drives dahil wala nang support ang rear center passenger especially with their driving style.

Di naman siguro obvious na tuwang-tuwa sila sa CX5 no. Not bad considering that our recent cars before this were all Toyotas

Mukha ngang di sila nag eenjoy. Ahahaha... MT po ba or AT? So ung mga PMS as in wala talagang nilabas na pera ung parents mo? Taken care of nung Yojin program nila? Senior citizens din mainly ung gagamit nung bibilhin kong CX-5 pag nagkataon eh, 2-3km na provincial road (non-concrete) tapos highway na agad to destination so mukhang OK nga 'tong CX-5. Any add-ons na recommended nyo based on the stock unit?

mas nagagandahan ako sa porma ng CX5 kaysa Rav4 bilis ko magsawa sa looks ng Rav4 kahit kokonti palang sa daan

MT. Baka last MT na nila daw 'to. AT na ang next. As good as the Skyactiv MT is tumatanda na rin sila at namamanhid na mga tuhod sa long drive. Malamang paglabas ng Skyactiv-D

We were pleasantly surprised to discover na may hill start assist si MT. Di bibitaw agad ang brakes kung hanging kaya di ka aatras (or aabente) paglipat ng paa from brake to gas.

Sakto lang ride height for them. Truck-based SUVs are too high. Cars naman are too low for old knees and backs.

Add-ons so far camera lang and pedals ang nasa listahan. Naka-Weathertech na pala front and rear mats nya. Otherwise la na sila hinahanap.

No cash out sa PMS. Spark plugs pala are good for 100,000 kms.

The current rav 4 looks like an avanza for me. I dont know if its just me. I like the previous one in terms of looks. The CX 5 looks fresher for me.

Sir Albastru, since may non-concrete roads ka pala na dadaanan, better to stick talaga to the stock 17's.
