It's a very good buy. Also check for the erratic idling. I'll be getting mine by next week. Kung di lang nakatali pera ko at di ako mabusisi sa pag-check eh gusto ko ngayon ko na makuha eh.

March 27th, 2006 10:30 PM #22value for money for a 2nd hand car... imagine a '99 model 1.6 DOHC, all-power, for let's say less than 200k? go for it and enjoy a good but underrated car.

yup, mostly have black bumpers, if we are talking bout the Familia 323. yung 323 Familia 1.3 GLi but its all power. yung 1.3 GL variant of the facelifted 323 Familia have manual crank windows and manual everything.
i think the 1.6L are more value for money purchase, especially that 1.3L of this genre of Mazdas werent EFIs...
if we are talking bout the 323 boxtype... yung early 93-95 models are available in 1.3LX, 1.6SE and 1.6GLX variants. Later models 96 onwards were all 1.3L and all powered.

December 19th, 2007 07:04 PM #26i own a '95 1.3 5-speed Manual Mazda 323 (box type)
16.41 kms. per liter - highway including small town traffic due to tricycles
(running at 80-110 kph, wasn't able to run faster cos i forgot to balance the wheels)
7-9 kms. per liter - ortigas/c-5/makati traffic
fuel consumption may be better if i use stock size tires (i'm using low profile tires on stock 14" wheels which means more tire rotation per kilometer which means higher gas consumption)
the ride is less noisy than a 2004 Sentra (i know because my sister owns one)
the engine is strong enough that i can shift to 5th gear at 35kms/hr without the engine coughing.
Be careful with channels like "China Observer" on YouTube. There is a clear bias in their posts and...
