I would suggest the Dubai version of the Prado. The VX.L variant. Di ako sure about the price pero try to ask them. It's full of features, 2x more features than the local Prado.

OT. How much naman is the difference between a local unit and a dubai unit? Pati difference sa warranty, reliability, at repair costs?
People in this thread are always pushing for more features but in the future these additional features might be added repair costs in the future.
For me ah, a simpler car is not too bad. Especially, if I know it's gonna be more reliable in the future.

AFAIK Dubai Versions are cheaper. Before JPEPA. Di ko lang alam ngayon. Yung Pajero DiD Dubai at Local same na 2.7M ngayon.
Some importers offer 1 year warranty. Di ko lang alam kung meron kasing lakas ng loob ng Hancars at Pit Stop Motors na may 5 years warranty.
Basically the repair cost should be the same. Pareho lang naman ng engine, KDSS suspension, etc for the Prado. Mas marami lang talaga toys yung Dubai.
Parang ano lang yan, Grand Starex local at Grand Starex KDM. Surely the KDM TOTL variant (HVX) is more expensive (about 110K) than the local Gold variant but you can really see the difference. So the additional cost is worth it.

Pera-pera lang yan sa Toyota..
Better ask the Toyota dealerships to confirm.

May nabasa ako noon na list ng mga manufacurers and how they handle customers with grey market products in terms of servicing. Ex Subaru kahit grey market they will service w/out fee, etc. Di ko lang maalala kung sa tsikot ko din nabasa yun.
Better ask dealers na nga lang.Last edited by Ry_Tower; March 13th, 2011 at 03:23 PM.

Alam ko Toyota lang ata nagpapabayad.
Sa HARI pwede magpa-service ang KDM. Standard labor lang din ang babayaran.
