July 9th, 2012 04:55 PM #17Meron nang Lancer EX 1.6L ngayon, which will fully retire the old Cedia Lancer. Don't expect it to be much quicker than the old one though, won't be giving much better gas mileage either.

July 9th, 2012 05:02 PM #18Oh ayos may 1.6 na pala.
Parang ambigat ng EX body para lagyan ng 1.6 hehe.

Actually, the Lancer EX isn't all that heavy with the 1.6 engine. It's the power-to-weight ratio that's on the low side, similar to the truly heavy Focus. But then again, even if it's only got 115 HP, if it's 115 well-tuned horses, it shouldn't have a hard time. That's something paper specs can't give and only a test drive can tell.
Comparing the AT models of today's entry-level compacts:
1. Toyota Corolla Altis 1.6G:
-1205 kg
-101 HP/Ton
2. Hyundai Elantra 1.6 GL
-1228 kg
-106 HP/Ton
3. Mitsubishi Lancer 1.6 EX GLX
-1235 kg
-93 HP/Ton
4. Kia Soul 1.6 LX
-1274 kg
-102 HP/Ton
5. Ford Focus 1.8 Trend 4-door
- 1325 kg
- 93 HP/Ton
6. Mitsubishi Lancer 1.6 GLS (Cedia)
- 1140 kg
- 96 HP/TonLast edited by jut703; July 9th, 2012 at 05:50 PM.
Be careful with channels like "China Observer" on YouTube. There is a clear bias in their posts and...
