Pero kung brand new ... I will never ever consider the alterra mapa platinum edition pa yan etc.

iX, Sorento, Sta.

I mentioned that point towards the poster who suggested Ford Everest. So in that context, Alterra is better.

And besides, my corolla has no back up sensor/camera

^ oh well, congrats to you nalang. hehehe.

what i don't get really with isuzu is they call their units special, premium etc. with just them adding aesthetic accessories.

I think the logic as explained by the TS is not far out.

Gusto niya comfortable, reliable, fuel efficient ride. Not so much for the looks.

BTW, the Achilles heel of Hyundai and Kia vehicles is the suspension. Good for 1st world countries. Battered in local conditions.

^^Hehehe obviously you are not familiar with Tsikot lore!

Hollow Earth is the place of residence of Gen. Miting (aka oldblue)... I was questioning the reasoning of Hollow Earthlings and not the thread starter...

    Nyahahaha!

:diablo: ;)

Actually I was considering Everest too at some point but what turned me off are:

    1. Sobrang uncomfortable ng 3rd row seat, it is almost not a passenger seat.

    2. Everest and pinaka mahaba amonng Everest, Montero, Alterra and Fortuner. And what's worse is that yung spare tire niya nasa likod pa so mas lalo pang humaba.

    3. According to what I read, the Everest gets 7 to 8 km / liter city driving. My boss also confirmed this as she owns one. This is a far cry from Isuzu Alterra, whom someone I knew even claimed to get as high as 18 km / L, city driving din. Besides, everybody agrees Isuzu has very fuel efficient engines.

The tucson is a good choice but with a budget of 1.7M i suggest you get something bigger..choose between the new CRDi R engine sta. fe or Kia Sorento for me kasi mas mey dating/macho ang bigger suv's.. yoko ng small

My classmate has both alterra and the new tucson, masikip yung tucson eh, pero ang pogi!

) ... so that leaves the h-100.

    hehehe

    Depende.
