Yeah. 528k will already get you in a Celerio, which, even in its barest form, is a much better, much more modern car than the Alto... and capable of 20 km/l plus running.
Looking at the price lists, I think the standard is still near 400k flat.Last edited by niky; March 29th, 2012 at 12:50 AM.

April 5th, 2012 04:13 PM #26hyundai i10 1.1..
Hyundai i10 does rather well for a small-car. Accepted that it is not as fast in a straight line as say a Chevrolet Spark, but well-matched gear ratios make it a breeze to putter around in. The ride quality of the Swift and Ritz is any day better than the i10. The Hyundai i10 tends to have a choppy ride and might make things uncomfortable for rear passengers on bad roads.

I own an Alto but the 800cc version but I won't be biased. here are my tips.
1. test drive both cars
2. tumingin ka ng ganitong econo car, it means budgeted ang pera mo. it also means that all you need is a car, kahit bare pa ito (no added accessories).
3. if you're on the budget side, get the 800cc version of Alto nalang. if you want a much more modern car (mas mataas ang presyo ng kaunti syempre), then get the new Hyundai EON nalang.
4. you don't need speed nowadays lalo na kung sa metro ka lang magdidrive dahil sa traffic. sa highwway, yup these kei cars can run up to 140kph (ooops hanggang 100kph nga lang sa highway eh). though I suggest you replace the stock tires sa mas malapad kung patatakbuhin mo ng ganito ang rides mo (both the alto, i10 or EON).
in 4 years of my alto, yung rear door balancer, cracked alternator fanbelt palang naman yung pinapalitan. in short matibay din ang alto. sa Hyundai i10 or EON I don't know, pero nasa pag-aalaga naman ng may-ari iyan talaga.
hope this helps.

June 6th, 2012 02:51 PM #29sir yung alto K10 ba 4 cylinder yun? yung 800cc alto mo walang delay sa acceleration?kaya pang baguio?

alam ko sir 3cyclinder pa rin yung K10 engine.
yung F8D engine (800cc) eh kaya mag baguio nun no doubt naman since marami na akong kilalang naka-alto na nakaakyat ng baguio. pero for sure hindi ka makaka-arangkada ng mabilis tulad ng mga navarra which is obvious naman for its engine size. nakababad ka sa 1st at 2nd gear sigurado (mostly 2nd gear).
Be careful with channels like "China Observer" on YouTube. There is a clear bias in their posts and...
