Hehe~ That would be LXi or VTi converted to look and/or run like an SiR bro.

Meron kaming SiR sa pamilya nuon from 2000-2005. It preceded our 2005 Accord 2.4. Kulay orange yun. Never got to drive it though, didn't know how to drive yet then. It had stock internals but with a body kit and big exhaust. My drag racing uncle used to borrow it for "karera" or bring it out of town. He commented that it feels quite unstable on high speeds due to the very low body weight. He had been able to sustain around 210km/h with that car. Said that's about as much as the engine would give.

That would be the aero. Too much lift at speed on the stock car.

210 km/h is easy. Get on the SCTEX or NLEX and 220 km/h is possible.

Of course, my heavy-ass RS has better aerodynamics, so it can hit nearly 230...

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

.... and if it does achieve that speed, hold it too long, the engine blows up. And if you do manage to keep your engine in one piece, you'll still need to pour in a liter of motor oil.

    LOL!

I'm probably the only member of the RS 220+ km/h club who hasn't blown a motor... yet.

Yup! Too bad there was no SCTEX then, and the NLEX was not yet rehabilitated.

Running the old highways at 200+ with a car that weighs just slightly above 1000kg is plain scary!

How bad is it for a car to run at sustained speeds of 200 kph and up?

Depends on what car. Some are really built to run at those speeds all day long, on the autobahn.

I've seen pics of two such incidents. The one in the Valle area and that one in Davao earlier this year.
