Honda CRV 06 or Honda CRV 07 or Civic 8th Gen???

My father is planning to buy me a car this month, but im confuse on w/c should i choose... Im confused between the CRV & the 8th gen civic. plus, mga papa, do u think i should wait for the upcoming honda crv if im planning to choose current crv??? Help guyz! info na din kung ano ang much better m/t or a/t?

if you're gonna be using it alone. a Civic 2.0S should be fine. it is almost the same price as the CRV select (aka the cheapest CRV at 999K). also, manual transmission should be fine if you're the type of person who dont complain driving. anyway, MT should satisfy you, come the time that you'd like to explore on your car's performance.

i understand that, why not pick something that's not yet up for replacement, if you really need a car? or better yet just keep waiting for the 07 CRV and hope that it'll be introduced on the 1st qtr.

the crv 07 will be released here soon. I think this month na daw accdg to some posts here. you can try the new Rav4, pero para sakin parang facelift lang ng previous Rav4 ang exterior nya.

unlike this CRV, total shift ng design talaga. you'll definitely look good in the new CRV ma'm. no doubt! babes + CRV something we guys look forward to on the roads ....

i find the 07 CRV quite too girly in looks too. even Honda in US said that their main target are soccer moms for this new CRV.

hmmm... among your options, you seem to be inclined to get the crv.. however, would you be interested in the 4WD hyundai tucson crdi? imho, it's a good choice both for its looks & performance. i really am dissappointed at how honda designed their 2007 crv, especially the front grille..

The Mazda CX-7! Pricing is a big question mark also. Hope they can hit the sweet spot in pricing.

Given your choices, if you ask me, I would choose the CRV over a Civic anytime bec. of better space ,utility and better city flood fording capabilities. The only thing good about the '06 CRV is its selling price in constrast to its safety features. It has the best safety features among other vehicles in the same price category. It has Dual front airbags and ABS + EBD, which no over CUV/SUV/AUV,has in the same price category can match.

The new '07 CRV is predicted to be released here around April/May next year. It is out in the US already. If you ask me, it is ugly in terms of styling. No comment on its mechanical performance and handling, since I havent driven one yet. Price is a big question. Will Honda Philippines choose to go back and use the same affordable AUV pricing scheme or will they want to increase the CRV's profile/prestige with higher prices, that is the question.

I think its better if you wait for the new 07 CRV. Its almost 07 na. If you dont like the new design you can still get the 06 model with lots of freebies and big discounts.
