Hello guys, I am here to seek help for my lady friend who is planning to buy a subcompact cars na nasa price ceiling at 500k (and after discounts.) Pwede naman siguro umabot ng up to 600k if there is none available. Her company might shoulder the car purchase partly.

I said to her na A/T na ang kunin para madali yung pagda-drive niya from home to office (Manila to BGC). Pero OK din sa kanya sa M/T since sa manual siya natuto sa driving school.

heto ang reco ko sa kanya:

Mirage GLX
Wigo G or E
New Celerio (may discount na ba sila kapag bago?)
anything else?

But, sabi din niya sa akin na inirereconsider din niya bumili ng second hand. Tapos after one year, ibebenta na niya to buy a new one. OK lang ba kumuha ng second hand cars sa bank? (yung mga repossessed ones)

so, 4 months after I posted this, 6 dealership visits (2 from Toyota, 1 each from Honda, Kia, Hyundai, and Suzuki) and second hand inquiries, my friend already settled for one vehicle na gusto niyang kunin. and that is the Toyota Wigo G a/t.

This week lang na-approve yung application niya sa bank for a car loan and once nakapagbayad na siya ng DP, give the PO to the dealer (BTW, she will purchase it at Toyota Shaw) and settle all the necessary requirements by today, baka makuha na niya yung car by January 2. (new year, new car :bwahaha

hatch: i like mirage. the other two are koreans.
sedan: i like vios. mirage is too new to have a longevity record. rio is korean.

my opinion.

Kung yan lang talaga choices mo.
Mirage for both hb and sedan.

Pros: good fc
Cons: not so cheap pms compared to toyota

Resale value: probabably almost the same after 5 to 10 years for mirage and vios.

Sedan: You may consider Honda City. I am not bias but that is what i drive and have good experience with it. Else, its vios since we are in the Toyota loving country .

if TS hasn't yet experienced "the better things in life", and TS isn't a big person, i can recommend wigo.
the price is right.
