Iba talaga GS. Maganda na quality nito kasi actually ito pinaka-unang succesful product ng Hyundai sa Pinas dating to their tie-up with mitsu. Kaya nga mataas resale value niyan eh. Toyota Hiace is overrated.

The 'T' badge still works wonders, apparently.

    Brand recall, bro.....

Agree,- it still works real wonders....Much much more than anyone can imagine...

For me? No brand loyalty (the tanks in our garage are of different brands).... Whatever is the best out there for a given class of run-of-the-mill vehicles within my budget and the capacity of my garage (i.e. no street parking),- I buy it...

Mukha nga. Kaya it pays to do research before test drives.

Grand Starex HVX. Much better, more refined and i think as per experience has better mileage than the Grandia.

Our Starex VGT doing 7-9KM/L in the City. C5 is the most 'highway' our Starex takes.

Our year 2000 Grandia 3.0L isn't doing much better from what I know.

Ooooppppsssss, sorry to disappoint you bro.jdee12....

I have to admit that my peyborit tank in our garage is our Nissan Van, our old faithful, even if it is a gas guzzler....

Siya na lang kasi ang di kambyo (M/T) sa aming mga sasakyan....

(At iba ang kambyo ng Nissan Van namin- sporty,- walang masyadong play katulad ng Toyota Innova for example, na parang kambyo ng jeepney.... :hysterical:

Even the family driver I talked to before claims that indeed the Starex VGT consumes more than the Hi-Ace Grandia. I have yet to ask the exact figures though. Next time nalang.

When he was driving me around I kept on asking on which of the two he would pick, if given the chance. Grandia daw. Although slower, "mas matipid sa krudo" -- those were his exact words.

Of course if it's just a matter of ~1-2km/L difference, I'd say the GS is still the best van for less than 2M out there. The power it produces vs. the Grandia already justifies the consumption difference.
