    I was able to load four 15" mags w/ tires (25" radius) in the back with the seats down. W/ two JBL GTO amps and 10" infinity sub pa yun. I recoken I could have hauled 6-7 tires in the back as there was still space... and still would not have had to removed my amps and sub.

    That's one thing I don't like about traditional automatics at the track... the sudden kickdown or kick-up when you're cornering. It unsettles the car. The Jazz CVT doesn't do that, though...

    But if you had to do it, just depress the -Minus button on the steering wheel and voila.... instant downshift (assuming you where on 7-speed virtual gear mode).

    If you werent on 7-speed mode, technically it doesnt even shift at all when you mash the gas pedal because its a CVT. The speed just climbs and the CVT works its infinite ratio magic, matching the pulley's ratio with engine speed and car speed to best take advantage of the throttle position.
    So bale, no choice... he he he. I guess some people like the lack of guess work. Keeping it simple nga naman.

    That much is true. Medyo sobrang filtered yung sensation sa steering ng Jazz (electric kasi). Mazda/Ford has the accurate steering feel down pat. Also, the rear beam axle of the Jazz gives it more natural understeer and shorter transition to snap-oversteer than the Mazda (although Honda has fixed this with the new City, with a softer rear anti-roll bar). Mazda's gorgeous rear suspensions are the reason why the Lynx RS and the Mazda 3 have such good "carving" abilities in the corners.

    But you can also throw the Jazz through corners with alarcity. The light weight and chuckable chassis make up somewhat for the greater understeer and artificial steering.

    Take note, though, that snap-oversteer and unrecoverable understeer only occurs if you are driving way too fast. I've seen accidents in the RS, the Mazda3 and the Vios wherein drivers have failed to take this into account. Wala pa naman akong nakitang Jazz na nag-spin, but I don't doubt it's happened elsewhere... hence the suspension redesign for the updated City.

    Basta, stay within your limits on the road, and join us on trackdays whichever of the two you have... you'll have fun either way. :lol:
