Fortuner 2.7vvti vs 2.5 d4d

Go for 2.5D4d. it's not underpowered as what they say. powerful enough to leave all auvs behind, even the everest. my usual cruising speed is around 130-140 rpm is around 2500.

when it comes to fuel economy, i get around 9km/liter city and 11-12km/ hiway. i also load half liter of biodiesel every full tank.

9km/liter that's good ah. I get the same fuel consumption with my strada pick-up


and kapareho din nya yun fuel consumption ng Tucson CRDi ni *totoybato, considering na mas liit body ang Tucson kaysa Fortuner.

Actually, the 3.0 can also hit 12 km/l... but in traffic, it drinks like a sailor. :lol:

Thanks for the reply. That clinches my decision. I will go for the D4d. BTW I also have strada and and ranger 4x4 pinatubo. Ang lakas sa diesel ng ranger

get d4d, i have one and i only manage 6 to 7km sa traffic while sa highway kaya mga 10-12km. lakas nga kumain.. mas grabe cguro ung 3.0

i own a 2.7 vvti. odo 19,000 km. 7.5 km/liter city/highway. read the thread D4D engine woes before purchasing the 2.5 d4d. i was supposed to get the 2.5 d4d but due to the problems it encountered, stalling problems, our fellow tsikoteers convinced me to get the worry free gas variant.

if you are into fuel economy your better off with the 2.5d4d. my 2.7 gets me 6km/l on city driving. on highway from manila to batangas with an average speed of 90kph i get 9km/l.

ok naman siya...
i get around 8.8km/L city driving from marikina to taft
kung nabababaan kayo kasi karerista mode ako lagi kaya walang tipid tipid..
hehe.... one time i tried an econo drive mga 10.1km/L same route same times and 1 full tank yan para mejo accurate...
