well it looks like you have no idea what the fj cruiser is for. go for the fxt since it's more powerful and more comfortable than the fj cruiser. the fj cruiser is nothing more than a toy car, if you have a family and plan to daily drive the car then you shouldn't even consider the fj cruiser.

+1 on the FXT. Though if you want a more comfortable ride with more power (but priced a bit higher), you might as well consider the Mazda CX9 4x2.

March 19th, 2014 06:45 PM #8Try considering the cx5 also. Not as powerful as the FXT but will fit your needs. It's also the most fuel efficient in its class IMO.

March 21st, 2014 07:24 AM #9ill go for the FJ cruiser.
i have a 2012 Forester 2.5 and recently bought 2014 FJ cruiser.
My "2012" Forester has a stiff ride and heavy steering (for me). may turbo lag pa.
Para kang dinuduyan sa lambot ng FJ. Engine 4li. v6
You got to test drive the FJ cruiser to know what i mean.
Same lang malakas sa gas consumption.
This is only my experience between the 2 vehicles. hope this helps in your decision.
