If you are to choose what would you pick with regards to suspension, comfort, quality, price etc? ( a present for my wife.... )

Ride quality and comfort, the Civic, definitely... followed by the Jazz. The Innova may have coil springs instead of the default leaf-springs of other AUVs, but a body-on-frame probably won't make it as pliant as the cars.

If your wife is going to be driving the vehicle, though... I think the Jazz is the best choice. Cute, easy to drive, easy to park and easy on the wallet in terms of gas.

In terms of suspension and comfort, the Civic wins hands down. If you are getting the Civic may as well wait until April or May this year when Honda will start selling the all-new model.

In terms of price, the Jazz is the winner amongst the three.

The Innova, on the other hand, cannot compare to any of the two other choices since it really belongs to a different class. Being based on a ladder-frame chassis, the Innova cannot replicate the kind of smoothness in ride that the Civic and Jazz possesses. But it compensates with sturdiness that the ladder-frame chassis affords it. The Innova is also very flexible serving as people or cargo hauler, and with almost the same feel of a car's driving dynamics.

Jazz is the best choice. I'd rather have an Altis over the Civic, and the Innova's ride isn't as good as a car.

Why not? The 1.5 VTEC has all the safety features you would need in a vehicle (ie. dual srs airbags, Abs w/EBD+BA, crumple zone). Due to its low ground clearance (like any other cars), it should be excluded from crawling through rotted/rough terrain or SUV-only suitable territory.

I presume that this is your 2nd or even 3rd car. If you already have a car then go for the Innova, on the contrary, if you already own a utility vehicle (AUV, SUV, van etc) then a car will be a practical choice.

If you're after ride comfort - get the CIVIC or wait for the 8th Gen Civic probably in the 2nd quarter

The 8th Gen Civic is softly suspended, according to owners. Kaya nga yan ung una kong suggestion.

The Jazz has a stiffer ride, but it's not uncomfortable daw long distance. I'm kind of iffy on the seats, myself, but I still think it's an excellent commuting car for the wife.

    Misty Violet/Purple (a.k.a. Midnight Purpble/Violet)
My favorite color (at sana na mailabas ito dito sa Pinas)

A sneak-peek brochure from Honda Kalookan:

is your wife driving the car? kung may family driver kayo, go for the innova (diesel para tipid). pwedeng pwede siyang humiga at matulog sa rear seats pag traffic. plus may aircon vents sa 2nd and 3rd row seats kaya siguradong komportable siya. but if she's going to be the one driving the car, get the jazz. CVT na, tipid pa sa gas. di pa siya mahihirapan i-park dahil reasonably maliit ang dimensions. IMO, yung 3rd choice mo (civic) e mas mukhang para sa iyo

fyi: i got my wife an innova. she hates cars. nasisikipan siya. dami kasi niyang dala lagi. plus mas madaling sumakay (my other car kasi is a '96 civic na ni-lower ko dati -- banas na banas siya sumakay). incidentally, may driver kasi siya. happing-happy siya, lalo na pag may lakad silang magkakaibigan. parang schoolbus ang innova namin

Since you have an SUV the most practical vehicle to acquire is a car (for comfort). My vote goes to the civic, pwede and wife mo mismo ang magdrive or if you have a driver ok pa rin. Parang hindi bagay sa Jazz ang my driver (just my opinion).

You can google for the 8th Gen civic or buy the March 2006 issue of topgear

I have a Honda City Idsi a/t Happy ako sa performance, Nag 15k Pms ako last sat. May product update sa transmision na ginawa ang Honda Kalookan, reset the TCU, ang laki ng improvement pag apak mo sa gas pedal sunod agad.

I also have InnovaG D4d a/t actually based on my computation mas matipid ang Honda city compare to my InnovaG mas matagtag ang Innova and yong D4d may problema.

    Honda city nalang bilin nyo.
