patulong naman po... pinagpipilian ko kasi ang dalawang ito.. i know magkaiba sila . please share your thoughts at baka sakaling makatulong sa akin mag decide..

gagamitin lang for family use.. gagamitin ni misis pag wala ako.

i liked the pick up kasi madaming paglilibangang mods pang pueding gawin, masarap dalhin sa malubak naming daan.
i liked the innova kasi more passenger ang nasa loob..

about sa FC , san matipid sa dalawa? city drive, short trips(5km from A to B) light traffic...

planning to kept the car for a long time....

    TIA

Toyota Innova, the pickup is nice but for family use the Innova is better. The novelty of having a pickup will soon wear out, you can't load items on the pickup bed when it's raining, even when it's not, they might not be safe there. Innova will be able to pass by bumpy roads also and it's more fuel efficient in the city. The only thing with the Innova is that the 2014 look is not as good looking as before the update.

Based on your usage- Innova. Its carlike drive fits city driving well. Seating capacity is a big difference.

Mukhang wants lang yung strada. Needs ang innova. So innova ang mas ok

    1. Injectors - may fail due to dirty diesel
    2. EGR - may fail due to dirty diesel
    3. Turbo
    4. SCV problem

Never pa ako nasiraan ng ganyan sa innova
saan-saan ko pinapagas yan kahit sa province
basta regular PMS di ka maapektuhan niyan
kung sakaling mag fail injectors mo it will cost as much as 100k or more

Between the two, I'd go for the Strada, if only for the power amenities. :D And then again, it's a proven car, the vehicle of choice of San Miguel corporation for their corporate fleet in fact. It does have it's disadvantages though, and having a Strada GLS Sport V in the family, I am quite familiar with them. Do make sure that the missus is comfortable with the Strada's length. Definitely not very easy to park, especially in parallel parking. Steering is heavier than most. Being a pickup, you will have to invest in either a canopy (our Carryboy canopy cost 67k) or a lockable bed cover to keep your things from the elements and out of prying hands. There's no reaching them from in the cabin either, unless you opt for the 4x4 variant with the opening rear window wherein you can reach the stuff placed at the back of the bed.:D The bed itself is also on the small side.

The Innova is definitely the more practical and versatile between the two. You get seating for 8. With all the seats folded up you get a cargo area that can rival a pickup bed. Engine performance is good enough for most. If I were to get one though, I'd stay away from the J and go for a 1-2 year old used E or G variant instead.

AFAIK between J and E ang dagdag ay power windows and locks, alloy wheels, ABS and rear wiper. I personally find these things to be worth the money.

Mura lang ang aftermarket power windows and locks. You'll see lots of them in Olx. Less than 5k lang, though I'm uncertain of the quality.

Not considering slightly used 2nd hand bro?

So why don't I warm up to pick-ups? well, they're longer than the innova, and I really don't need that cargo space at the back.

Kelangan ng takip bro. Kahit sliding bed cover man lang. Pano mga groceries mo? And there's the aforementioned aerodynamic drag.

I don't mind carrying animals in closed vehicles, as long as they're not too dirty and aren't prone to motion sickness. All our cars that don't have leather seats (Strada, Revo and Tribute) have been used in hauling dogs at one point or another. Medyo nakakatakot sa Santa Fe at Accord baka makalmot nila ang upuan. Just sharing, the first time our golden retriever rode a car (the Revo) it barfed all over the rubber floormat on the 3rd row. All I did was hose the floormat and air out the cabin. You do have to vacuum the carpet every now and then though.

ah, so having no cover sa cargo bed affects the aerodynamic of strada? makes sense. ayaw ko kasi mawala yung function nito to carry tall objects eh. and being able to stand there pag may kandidato for election (joke)
