Toyota still not offering standard reversing camera (soon to be MANDATORY safety equipment in other markets) on their Fortuner. No GPS too. Not that I don't know where I'm going but it can double as an entertainment center for the kids when playing DVD's. Toyota accessories will charge extra if you want DVD entertainment.

The Fortuner rear seats have to be hung on the third row grab handles. A feat most averaged sized females have difficulty doing. On the MS, you just pull a switch and the rear seat folds flat.

Spare tire winch on the MS is also harder to defeat with than on the Fortuner. Keeping the spare safer.

Fort may have automatic climate control across the range but a lot of local folks don't even know how to use it and still use it like manual a/c. Basta lumalamig ok na.

Btw, i drive a Toyota. I'm not a Mitsu fan boy. But if you like the Fortuner, I see no reason not to get one. It's just that the MS is offering a better value at least for what I need in a vehicle.

My MS has this irritating TURBO LAG...caught it many times, especially while trying to overtake.

    100% agree.

Pero nakapagtataka rin, ang dami ko nakikitang brand new Fortuner. Karamihan 2.5D-4D. Iba parin ang gayuma ng Toyota

HID headlamps, leather seats (2.7G, 2.5G A/T, 3.0V) at auto climate sa lahat ng variant lang ang lamang ng Fortuner over Montero Sport. Pero, who cares?

Madali lang yan gayahin ika nga. HAHA! Kung base model nga napapag-mukhang TOTL eh. Ahohoho. Ahihihi

Regards to turbo lag: Strangely, the new Fortuner ATs also have similar lag to the Montero Sport that I didn't notice in older models. It takes about 1.5 seconds for the engine to respond after you bury the throttle. With the Montero, it's slightly worse... about 2 seconds.

Maraming bagong Fort dahil sa malakas ng promotions at sales events ng Toyota. Pagkatapos ng 4th Quarter buying spree, status quo nanaman yun.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

^ maybe due to the electronic throttle... sa kia carens nararamdaman ko din yan lalo na pag naka off ang aircon... may nabasa ako sa forums ng kia na due daw yun sa ecu update (yung may improvement sa egr function) and the only solution is to turn on the aircon..

yung bago ngayon vgt wala ng turbo lag meron kami vgt na engine and non vgt , sa gls namin ramdam mo turbo lag,, sa gls-v wala at sa strada namin na gls sport v wala din lag

The deciding factor: Why I chose the Fortuner over the Montero sport
